You just need a good homeset. On a good homeset everything sounds good, from ambient to psytrance, to metal etc. I do agree that psytrance in particular is no music to play softly. You need to have a decent volume so you can hear all the details.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

maybe you were just expecting the same effects with the system at your home ...............

cause at parties you hear quality output and can listen to even the smallest of details however you cannot expect the same at home.

i guess thats the reason why???????????           "Cause we're living in a world of RULES breaking us down when they all should let us be."

Psy trance and loudness... is like driving a Twingo and a formula one. The bigger and better the system, the better the ride

So is loud sound can improve the artists music and make it better that it is?

from your words it just seems to me like you caught the live act which often time is mixed (beatmached) with other songs. In Full on they ussually use stronger and faster beats on top of the song you already know, so it sounds a lot more aggresive and rougher... same thing happened to me when someone send me a short movie from universo parallelo to ID a song, and i found it, but when i was listening to the original version it had almost nothing to do with the live version...           elementoftime.net

Well i guess music such as psychedelic and full on sounds better on bigger soundsystem.

Its dance music after all and is designed for bigger soundsystems no?           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

@detox

I think its designed to be heard, at any volume.

Also, I think almost ALL music gets better when its turned up (if you like it that is).

Music is about touching the mind, making an impression, the louder the music the bigger the impression

Id still rather hear good music on an alarm clock, than bad music on a big PA.

Kind Regards

Usually a higher volume helps with tracks, since you can hear some layers that you might didnt pay attention before much better..           Peace & Love!

Melicia and Pale

i would have asked u to increase dose

but u got a point here... psy usually sounds good only at a high volume.

music when mixed and treated and a track made in a controlled studio environment is done at a low or lesser volume for u could make out all sounds, all frequencies at a low volume where as at a high volume low frequencies and small tunes, disturbances etc kind of get swallowed by the louder ones....

and some times the production of a psy track in not done in a legitimate environment hence the same track which sounded too good at high volumes might sound ugly a low volumes.

Guess hallucinogens tracks are some of the best produced tracks I have come across

Melicia alblum, pale? Are you kidding? Maybe its just the come down off of hearing it on a big system. I who have never heard Melicia except on my home speakers would not use the word pale to describe that alblum!

his album is boring and got nothing.

Krell you cant enjoy a psy trance track on very low volume simply because you wont be able to understand or even hear some of the backround sounds.

And not every kind of music sounds better on big volume, for example ambient music doesnt sound nice at all on a big soundsystem like a psy trance track would sound           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

well well, cool topic... i would say it is really important to have a nice sounds system and pump up the volume as much as you can to enjoy psy the most... like i am listening to fatali vs perplex - frozen rmx in my home system now, and it sounds a lot better when played in my friends car... and i am sure it would sound far far better in a party... so thas how it goes... the better the system, the better the sound and the more the sound the more yo enjoy the track... but again, a lousy track cant sound good only cos you play it in an amazing sound system... just my thoughts...           We meditate upon the Spiritual Effulgence of That Adorable Supreme Divine Reality, the Source of the Physical, the Astral, and the Heavenly Spheres of Existence. May That Supreme Divine Being enlighten our Intellect So we may realise the Supreme Truth.
