2. Is there and option to edit multiple instrument tracks simultaneously? S1 v2 has it

Cheers!

this is possilbe - with the environment in logic.Shortcut 8 and you there at least here.Look some tutorials of logics environment by interest. You still can use both sequencers I guess. That would have advantages for sure.Cheers           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

in logic be sure to get familiar with the included fx, some can sound great, most sound good .. also the compressor is really good ,can beat some expensive ones, i think i could do just with that comp for making tunes, it s like many comps in one plug.. the eqs sucks don t like them much personally

+1 on compressor, it has everything one needs even for many tasks. different algos, dry/wet, sidechain (both versions) etc.

eq is prett ok too, very conveniet, with analyzer, definitely fine for cutting things out. maybe not that good for warm boosts, but hey

yeah makus the comp is awesome..it suprised me again today ,love it,the eq i don t like the high pass filter.
there is also some underrated plugs in the apple au folder, i think it s garage band effect? not sure...

logic plugs have their caractere ,a similar family sound that i enjoy. the guys behind are really good, considering some of their plugs are so old ( love es1)

now less than before with all the great plugins coming out...but years ago logic users where really advantaged with the plugs bundled imo ...i remmeber the first time i used it ,it was still on pc at that time,i was shocked by es1 sound ( still one of the best driving bassline and great for many sounds imo)

I switched from Cubase to S1 1.0 about a year and a half ago, and then upgraded to S1 2.0 a few weeks ago. I've never been happier. All the nuisances I experienced with 1.0, i.e. the things I missed from Cubase, have been addressed, and the workflow is so smooth.

I haven't experienced any of the issues mentioned here such as cpu spikes or clicks (MBP early 2011), rather I've been surprised at the smoothness with which plugs/presets are modified/dragged'n'dropped onto other channels etc. The MIDI handling is awesome, the browser window brings the best to the table from the Ableton Live environment, and S1 2.0 simply feels like the crème de la crème, a mix of the best from the Cubase and Ableton environments.

Moreover, it's affordable and the feedback in the forums is great - staff members actually keep in touch with the community unlike other companies (don't have to mention them, do we?).

If this is the way S1 is taking, I'm definitely staying in the PreSonus camp.
