Dear KakoOlalaJwal,

§I definately agree with you! except one part...There is no obvious reason for anything...what is obvious for me it might not be obvious for you, if you know what I mean....

But please, would you like to explain us (not specially you, but any moderator) wich is the procedure...wich are the guidelines on Locking the threads? If there is any guideline....

Thank you for the understanding...

regards
Tms

Well first of all there are these :

http://forum.isratrance.com/guideline.html

Then the "other cases" are up to our appreciation, Dot Kite, and also a kind of "jurisprudence" in french... Hmm I'm looking for a proper translation..

It means there are some cases where we remember such a thread has been locked/deleted, for good reasons, so when the same kind of thread/behaviour inside the thread appears again, we'll act the same way as before !

Unless the previous action has been discussed and contested between the other mods, of course..

Dear KakoOlalaJwal,

I would like to thank you once again for your patience on answering to my questions! I have appreciated!

Regarding the "jurisprudence" thing, don't worry....I do speak quite good french as well, so I got your point!

Wish you to have a nice evening

Dear Santa Claus

This year, I have been a good boy. I have only stabbed around two persons, and it was in the leg, so the damage wasnt to big. I have tried to realize some of my more personal dreams as DJ'ing and taking more psychedelic substances. The last part is no match to forfill, but the DJ'ing part will have to wait until the birth of Jesus.

Now since I have been such a good boy, I would like to have this post deleted.

best regards,

Psytones

So since the moderation thread was guardedly deleted, I found an existing thread to continue. Although between you and me, the post was referring to different issues and it was convenient to erase the moderation thread and my thread in the greek section.
Also Dawn's post was interesting and revealing altogether. Too bad you had to erase that one as well

You know you really need to think twice before banning people. One mod should know very well from his recent experience after he thought "I lost it" and said "he won't be intimidated", got all crazy, insecure and defensive and ended up banning me. The result was a new thread for banning me, ( http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/82351/forum/17 ) and him getting a kicking/swearing from lots of greek members for doing so and having to re-activate my user name.
The thing is that, that certain mod, wouldn't have done it if lots of other users hadn't told him off. I mean its his site and everything, but at least he could just come out in the open and say why he did things this way, or even say nothing at all, instead of giving bullshit reasons, which mods are free to give of course, but at the end of the day, it reflects bad on them as much as they refuse to realise that.
I mean the most honest response I ever got for getting a post deleted was lately when the apparent reason for getting my post deleted was: "You know why"...I can live with that, since I know someone is not trying to bullshit me.

And with the locking of threads, mods get a bit crazy sometimes (which is a lot actually).
How many duplicates of threads, or threads that refer to locked threads have been created again and again? If you are trying to keep this place clean, moderating in a way that results in more threads about the same issue, hardly works, don't you think?
And locking threads, but leaving them on the forum, is hardly proof of saying you have nothing to hide, since people can't actually post back.

So what I am saying is, allow for the fact that you might be actually making a mistake and you are reacting in a knee jerk manner when you feel your ego is hurt, especially when a lot of people actually tell you, you went overboard. It will save bandwidth, drama (unfortunately for me ) and it will help changing the general consensus (you know what that is) about isratrance and its mods.

I am scratching old wounds but since you asked I'll post a few examples.
http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/82347/forum/17
And since you talked about "working together" here's a fine example of a mod's aspect of "working together"...
http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/82329/forum/17/start/0
talk about being provocative and setting up traps for isratrance's users eh?

If you want more examples, just follow the leads of *so many* posts from different users that have complained about the extremely bad moderation on this site.

I am not being negative, like I said I like this place and would like it to be a better place.

You guys wanna talk before posting, calm things down, talk about the future and forget about the past (especially threads that make mods look bad).
You want the users to help make isratrance a better site, but what kind of an example are you setting you selves? You wanna work together? What is you part of the work? Delete all links to your wrong doing and then simply take it from there?
Isratrance feels like a better place already, nice going!

Wow! Guy's, I love Jo-Jo's. I'm a superb' "walk the dog", "Ring the bell" and other tricks master. Well I used to kick ass in jo-jo when I was a kid in the 90's and jo-jo's was hip.

Very easy trick: -->

It is in the system messages mail-box, Dennis, and it is true.. Having said that, maybe some mods do write the minimum, but I can tell you with my mind at rest that I'm trying to explain why I did an action as much as I can < that simply means sometimes I just don't have the time to do it properly, I'll admit it.. But please remember that moderation is not my 24/7 activity..

Some mods give bullshit excuses as well. There's a few threads I would like to post links to, that were locked. These threads were left for weeks but after linking back to them and pointing out that some mods can royaly f*ck things up, they were mysteriously deleted
