i say play whatever rocks!
a good Dj has experience and knows how to increase the tension and release it..
if you only want to hear one type of music why dont you stay at home and listen to it...
sure i have been disapointed many times with crap music(in my opinion) but i blame it on the dj..
there is a big lack of knowledge in many parties, soundwise, and a lack of united djs that play for the crowd, trying to make a collective journey. Too much Ego!
I mean if you play a track and you see that is a huge success on the dancefloor than you know how to please them, sure you should spin some less pumping tracks just to keep the tension and release flowing through the night, but for this you got to know the djs and place them in a good order...
i wont mind some sunny fullon in the middle of the night, it gives a smille on peoples faces and makes them appreciate the darker stuff aswell...
to be honest i wouldnt mind if they played a downtempo track somewhere in the middle and just bang on with some heavy shit after that,.. the effect is much greater...
i think that if you go to a very commercial party you will have to accept that they will play Summer hit after summer hit... and it will be very harmonic.. even momys little boy can listen to vibe tribe, but if you play him some derango or some other deranged music he will feel like his on a bad trip without drugs...

It all starts at night...n if the night starts with dark then you've had your party!!!
Ive had the best trips at night...when u feel the music reverberating in ur veins...u dance, n dance n dance...this exhilarating trip when done, leads to the closure that morning fluff brings.

I am glad you agree!! but like as usual you ridiculously contradict yourself you play your morning music at NIGHT ! NO ? and organise morning full on parties at NIGHT NO !?
