normally the kiks in psy and especially in dark has a hole between 350hz - 600/700hz and start rising again to form the "click" around 1000-2000hz. The bass is not so prominent in those frequencies but it has good presence between 300 and 500hz so they can fit perfectly. The problematic part is below 300hz. Of course we have to make some small eqing but better make it on the kik which is a constant sound where we can apply static eqing than notching and destroying our bass which is much more rich in harmonics. also we have to tweak very carefully the length of the kik, the layering technique i snot some miracle, it needs very precise tweaking. Sometimes just an incorrect threshold in the sidechaining compressor can ruin everything. sometimes the kik is not appropriate. I mean first we have to choose kik and bass that are appropriate one to another...

no, the sends on the audio channel. first, create either 2 Group channel or 2 FX tracks. in the audio channel for your bass, use the first 2 send slots to send the signal to each group. set the sends to be Pre-fader mode (it's the button between the On/Off and "E") and move the volume fader for the original bass channel all the way down. this way the original is muted and you have the signal going to both group/fx channels equally. you can control the balance between them to taste by using their individual volume faders.

i dont understand? so u have to record them to audio first?

no. when you are working with a vsti, you have a midi channel and a corresponding audio channel, right? nomad moon got it right and we were talking about the same thing, i just thought he meant the midi track when he said "vst channel." my bad. it's impossible to do this (sends) in the midi channel anyway.           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance
