Hello! I need help in choosing a nice reeverb plugin that can be applied to kick drums without messing it up.
So far I have tested 4 different reeverbs and the best one has been Waves True Verb, but they all give me some bad distortion on the high end.
I just want a small reeverb that starts from over 150hz that doesn't produces "noisy" stuff. Just a tight and clean reeverb to give more body to my kick drums just like in oldschool psytrance. (Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to aim oldschool sound, I just want a new punchy, brith kick with a tiny and clean spark of reeverb if that's possible)
Even with Waves True Verb I got this noisy distortion and I've already twisted all parameters and cant get rid of it..
By the way this noise can only be appreciated on my headphones because on monitors you actually hear it improbe.. a bit confusing.
I hope anyone can help!

It would be very helpful, if you could give an example of what exact effect you're trying to get from it. |

in the kick reverb I think it's better to bounce the result to audio. to have more control on the reverb tail. not to overlap. |

for that purpose i usually highpass as well as lowpass the kick in an aux channel before it goes into the reverb.
the highpass obviously eliminates the excessive low mud/rumble, while the lowpass does away with high-pitched noise/reflections. also i find that cutting before the reverb gives a much cleaner and more coherent sound than cutting afterwards. |
