no, doesn't really bother me at all, but it shows how much they really care about the fans..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

sethspun..
the fact is that gms missed the party cause they didn't care.. they didn't remember.. artist is obligated to remember what he promises.. if he can't keep his promises he's a total asshole.. well that's my opinion.. I'm sure riktam and banzi are nice guys, but well.. i still dislike their music & the way they handle their business...           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Take it easy, friends, or you will end up closing the thread...

Nice to know that Simon Posford likes to work together with GMS. Both of them are really great and famous musicians, and they have killer styles IMO. Amazing the gamma goblins rmx...

What´s wrong with 3 world countries???

Well Gilad, just to stop keeping you from waiting too long.

... I happen to have heard the GMS version before (at a party and at a DJ's home). And no, it wan't played the same. And no, they weren't played as two seperate tracks, but rather as one track with parts from both tracks. And no, it wasn't even exactly like part of the GMS remix. And yes, this has been confirmed by GMS fans much bigger than you (including one of the more interesting full-on DJs in Israel with which I travelled there), and if not bigger, surely bigger GMS fans than most people I know in the trance world.

And yes, I still think that GMS remixing Posford is like making a porno picture out of the Mona Lisa. Some people might say "man, that's a hot porno picture". I say "that's a debasement of art".

And if you'd read a few other threads, about GMS not going to their live gigs, being booked for 2 (and more) live acts at the same day in two opposites side of the world when it's impossible to play them both (unless they travel by spaceship or something, which I'm sure they don't). About being booked to act, and then you get Chicago performing "GMS Live" instead of the original GMS. And we're not talking abou 1 or 2 small time promoters, we're talking about at least 5 confirmed parties by HEAVY DUTY organizers, and I'm sure this happened many more times.

You think GMS are getting a bad rep for nothing? Do some research. And still, there's no reason to open a new thread if you want to continue a discussion. And finally, yes, you're hearing this from one ex-GMS fan.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Fact:
GMS's tunes are the tracks that work best at parties,ALL OVER the world.

i really don't think they intend to do Art,
they want to make music that makes people scream on the dancefloor, and in that,
they are very good,in fact one of the best.

so regardless of what people may think about them, they will be continued to get booked to parties, until they stop doing what they do.

now i really don't know what my point here is,
but this thread is also pointless so nevermind ....

Sethspun are you the attorney of GMS or something?

If not then please stop creating fights and arguments around here and respect the guidelines.

If kaz doesnt like GMS remixing Simon Posford then it is his problem and if GMS have a problem then they will come here and answer to him.

We dont need lawyers around here so stop it.

well seth, i was going to refer you to this thread:
http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php?topic=7322&forum=1
but i see how pointless this thing has become. I've tired of trying to argue with people here, but i have come to realise that doing so, especially in a forum format, doesnt add a lot to my well being. you think GMS Rules? Good for you. you think we are wrong - by all means, try and correct our erronous ways.
I think I can safely assume that No one here is a gms basher. neither is anyone here spreading any gossip or lies. if someone is incorrect - correct him.           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

One last thing: There's a difference between playnig the GMS remix, and playing a part of it as part of a full track. The GMS remix lacks any emotion compared to the original, while the original is not as stompy. And while GMS may be the #1 dancefloor act nowadays, I don't have to see that as a good thing, because they aren't even close to #1 for me, even on the dancefloor.

If they'd have quality control, would try to do something different each track and would stop cashing in on other people's talent by making remixes of good tracks in their "let's stomp on the dancefloor" way, and remember that we're talking about psytrance and not just any form of vibeless party music, we'd have a nice, boiled down version of GBU.

Like you wrote to Detox, maybe you should have THOUGHT about what I wrote instead of immediately getting angry and attacking it (and I phrased this like I did because of what you wrote to Detox).           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222
