well, anyone read any of his books??

first read his work few years ago, really clarifying, at least for me...

his sayings on self awareness, specially on your feelings toward others, pre-judgement in all forms, peace and meditation...

"Meditation is one of the greatest arts in life-perhaps the greatest, and one cannot possibly learn it from anybody, that is the beauty of it. It has no technique and therefore no authority. When you learn about yourself, watch yourself, watch the way you walk, how you eat, what you say, the gossip, the hate, the jealousy-if you are aware of all that in yourself, without any choice, that is part of meditation."

“Man, in order to escape his conflicts, has invented many forms of meditation. These have been based on desire, will, and the urge for achievement, and imply conflict and a struggle to arrive. This conscious, deliberate striving is always within the limits of a conditioned mind, and in this there is no freedom. All effort to meditate is the denial of meditation. Meditation is the ending of thought. It is only then that there is a different dimension which is beyond time.”

share your thoughts...           un-fucking-believable

hehe, yes i did read osho also...
but i find osho ideas a bit more abstract then krishnamurti, krishnamurtis ideas you can use even on a more pratical way, constantly watching for your own acts...

osho is more on meditation, peace and love...at least from what i read from him...

actually meditation is a thing that is quite easy after you know what you are aiming for (stopping your mind, recording every single thought that crosses, from body signal to subcouncions talks) and you notice that it makes part of almost every culture, each with it own name, but all with equal results...

one good example, in the cristian religion, the repetition of a saint name, a repetition of a prey, its also knows as meditation thru repetition, one of many ways to reach a clean mind...

we could go on forever about meditation, it looks such an abstract thing, without real objective....but in reality, when you look into it...when you try it yourself, you understand what it is all about...there is actual proven benefits to the mind, body, and you as a person to do so..

well if u ask me
Krishnamurti appels to a scintific mind
& Osho appels more to a artistic mind

I recommend u 'Meditation - the first & last freedom' by Osho
u'll see how they both speak of the very same thing in thier own unique way           the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!!

I can surely advice to read more about Osho and also practice some of his meditations.
He has created a lot of meditations especially for the busy western mind.

Krishnamurti was supposed to become the new world teacher but he never choose for that.

Meditation is just being the watcher in your mind, once you "stop " your mind you have enlightenment and there is no need for meditation anymore!           www.ajana-records.com

Carlos Castaneda is also talking about the inner dialogue with ourselves. Don Huan's teaching refers to somehow stopping the inner dialogue in our head. Then it will rise the moment of clarity..
Also, Stanislav Grof mentions the same thing in his book "Psychology of the future".
The repetition of a saint-name, the repetition of a prey is actually a way to experience the Holotropic Breathwork. For more .. http://www.holotropic.com

By the way, has anyone visited Osho's Ashram in India ? brasirc, we should go there bro!

if u read Osho n want to still feel that energy u sud go there

but i also have to say like many other places this too has got infected with the diesease of commercialization
so go there b4 the spirit dies

if you have read Jiddu then also read UG Krishnamurty it is in contrast but it does in a way compliement JK ,

OSHO if you understand is in a way very very clarifying and not only artistic but practical as well it is only when you are "there" will you understand now there means the freaquecy and not as a reader but more of an observer and the an experiencer ( i know maybe wrong Eng. ) but get the msg right .

love and chaos peaceful chaos            To focus sometimes you need to spin hard on your soul's axis..... just don't ask how and what it means ;)

A practical guide to Meditation:
M. Batchelor, "Meditation for life" (London: Frances Lincoln, 2001).
Also:
M.A. West (publ.) "The Psychology of Meditation (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1987).

Yes, I'm aware of the commercialization's disease in Osho Ashram - this virus effects on everyone today, ha? Some Zen master showed me the silent enlightening, together with the koans method, a natural way to get rid of this virus in your head. Anyway, I prefer Transcedental Meditation.

I started to read the "Autobiography of a Yogi" topic (it's way too big ha?) & I found it interesting. By the way, I haven't read anything by J. Krishnamurti but he is mentioned a lot by several writers (philosophers, Mathematicians, Physicians -in Chaos theory- and many others) today. His name is quite known. I want please to know which book of his should I read first. If anyone can help me, appreciate it. Thank U.            ".. You claim that this thing .. did not affect the larger part of your brain!! JK would probably call that a complete self brainwashing waste of time. Don't you just love his bluntness sometimes ? However, I do believe that chants/mantras/prayers actually benefit from the sonic vibrations created by them. Like the repetition of the stretched out OM sound during several yogic practices.
