ISRATRANCE GATHERING 2005?

Hello psyfolk
As you know im a 'noobee' to this forum and have enjoed reading and posting on many interesting topics!!
One thing ive realised is the skill base of the forum (with all due respect to other forums) and its huuge!
This is one of the best things that ISRATRANCE has done as where we live is not a psy-community at all  .
its all good tho  as i suppose this is why parties are there for! 
Its this which got me thinking as to a ISRATRANCE GATHERING - could be easy to organise & would be puurfect to meet some of you!!
The moderators could develop a voting system to find the following:
e.g.
1) BEST MAGIKAL LOCATION (scenery/forestry)
2) BEST GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION (for ease of travel to and from: for all-of us!)
  
3) MOST relaxed country for LAWS (no mad police etc: it helps!)
 
4) For a fair balance in respect of those who live far - could there be different locations voted yearly?
 
What do people think?:)is it possible to organise something on this scale-i think its soo important in the times we're living in to make it happen, hey?
If psy-forum.co.uk could make an incredible gathering why cant we?
Maybe a gathering has already happened?
If so, or, If this topic has been talked of before, what were the reasons for NOT having a gathering?
Im sure people would pay to travel-i know we would!

dificult...but not impossible...
but see the countries we have in here...and imagine the dificult on that...diferent countries...diferent continents...only in that....

JUST IMAGINE A YEARLY ISRATRANCE GATHERING ? DIFFERENT ARTISTS FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES ORGANISING IT /

i hear what you're sayin slomi - for sure we'd have to party in beautiful israel do you find this idea could be like psychedelic's version of the olympic games??! (or football, but im not watching it anymore...

yes we had such ideas in the past but they all stop at the budget stage.

Hey Dr Borris - i didnt know that it was considered in the past! Its a shame to hear that the idea had to be scrapped due to financial concerns
I suppose it would take a lot of money to organise...
Just out of curiosity - Roughly, how much do you think it would take to organise an isratrance party? Are we talking a lot of money or a hell of a lot of money?

well, to organise a 3 day 2 night event outdoors in IL with all of the paperwork and stuff and be able to bring at least 4 international acts + supporting locals would cost roughly 35,000$. this is an estimate for Israel. other places in the world mught be chaper, but then u should also consider that since the forum is extremly international alot of the people here won't be able to afford to travel far.
Epsilon, how much would you be willing to spend to travel to such an event, and how much would your friends be wiling? can we expect 2000 people to come? when at least half of them have to spend over 500$ on transportation to the event?
The trance scene is not as financially strong as it used to be. most people nowdays choose one festival to go to each year. will they choose the Isratrance gathering???

sounds awesome, i'd do my best to make the pilgrimage....we could promote it on a large scale, but all the Isratrancers could have name badges or something. wouldn't some isratrance artists play for low cost since they're part of the community? seems like theres enough promoters here to make that happen |

Vector, i doubt it if any established artist gives us a reduced price, this is their work after all.
and i see that u live in the US, this means that your travel budget will be closer to 800$. still an option?
