Hello fellow psyheads!
I got some questions for you.
Why is the psytrance scene and culture so big in Israel, compared to other countries?
How did it start?
Who started it?

Have a nice day..

well.........
in the end of the 80's the seeds of israeli trance was planted in two complitley diffrent places. Goa beaches and Tel avivs night clubs.
many israelis are going on long trips after the army service of 3 long years. the usually travel in interesting places such as: south america, india and..... Goa!

the israelies that came to goa in the late 80's and early 90's have discoverd a new kind of music - acid music.
apperantly they got crazy about this music and when they returend to israel they began creating it and playing it in parties. meanwhile, in the clubs of tel aviv the scene of techno- industrial music became very strong. when the idustrial techno from tel aviv met the acid from goa the most amazing sound created- the early sounds of what we know today as israeli trance.

avi nissim, lior perlemutter, yaniv haviv and guy sebbag were well known dj's in israelies club scene. meanwhie in goa, two other israeles become famous- dj miko and har-ell prussky. avi, lior yaniv and guy joiend forces in what later will ecome ASTRAL PROJECTION and mikp and har-ell will become later CALIFORNIA SUNSHINE. this group of people joind forces together n 1994 and released the first israeli trance compilation TRUST IN TRANCE, under vairous names. in 1995 the compilation TRUST IN TRANCE vol.2 was released, that was he first time that israeli trance got global attention.
and so on, other groups raised and turened israel to be the biggest trance nation on earth.

thats all for now

it's a common mistake to always place Israel as the leader of trance... yes Full On for sure but that's about all Israel can come up with. When it come t variety in music and parties Israel is lacking far fare behind everbody else.

HandA,
it doesnt seem to matter how many chances and users you get... still the same disrespectful comments about israel from you.
i beg to differ from what you state here about israel, but weve done it so many times that you do not deserve a more detailed response listing acts that are pioneering the way of trance as we know it and will know it.

its morning now in Denmark - eat a hearty breakfast and try to post at a calmer time of the day for you.
awaiting your predictable response any minute now...          "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

Surrender.. Why do you call it trance? Trance is Tiesto, Paul Von Dyke, Armen Von Buuren ect ect ect. Isreal makes psytrance no? I see this all the time, people talk about isratrance as trance. Its psytrance not trance. I know we dont like to put music in boxes. But when it comes to this.. I do!

Handa what are you talking about mate why we all know that the very very best music always or almost except for a couple of producers come from Israel! and there is nothing wrong with that i do not know why people take it so much seriously now if an artist is good he makes great music it no matter were he come from! Who cares about what is your society name we are all one and it does not make a difference...with all respect this is the culture i live by for me this is Trance....

I agree with HandA, imo too, Isreal is big in full-on and lacking in variety. And Surrender, I don't see anything offensive in that, I don't understand why you are getting upset.
Ganjagil, I thought we all agree, that music is a matter of taste and that you might think, that "the very very best music always or almost except for a couple of producers come from Israel!", but I for one don't think so at all and never have. I am listening and have been listening to a lot of trance music and it is hardly ever music from Isreal.

I am sorry but I had no intentions to beat anyone up or being direspectful. I think you misunderstood my point in my post. I was all calm when I wrote the post and I stand by my words. Israel do not have a variated scene. Far from. It's Full On and more Full On. Yes Israel have produced some legendary artists and I respect them. But to say that Israel is the leader or the biggest in the scene is to go off the track. In my opinion, and you are of course allowed to disagree, a leading scene need much more variety.

I objected to the common misunderstanding that Israel has it all. Yes you got some very nice things in your scene, just as every other Country got something nice. But you also lack a lot of things that other Countries got.

Thats what i meant. Hope its not too disrespectful?
