I just got back from the festival! In my opinion was a pioneer type of festival! The artists provides as with some unique types of chill and progressive sounds! The people was beautiful as well as the vibe of the tribe! However, we couldn't ignore some problems occured but I do not want to mention or make comments on this! Hoping next year the problems count to zero!

OK! Let's get a bit deeper and in a more detailed description of the festival!
Speaking firstly about the music since it is the base of a festival, the event started a couple of hours later that was arranged but it doesn't matter! Starting with Xerxes he played a wonderful progressive live, better than his set! Then I will jump directly to Aba Structure performing night, under a nice decor although simple, presenting a very nice downtempo music, having and a dancing show performed by a female member! Then, in my opinion, Ian Ion from KoxBox played a very strange professional kind of music, having sounds from reggae covered by brake beats and crazy bass lines! One of my favourites for first day! Afterwards, Beat Bizzare on stage playing a wonderful live of psy-trance progressive music although I was in my tent listening to him! Also, MFG played live presenting tunes that were milestones in psytrance music! I don't like particularly like his music but I realized that he knows a lots of music! And now I will jump to second day starting with Aes Dana at 12:00 with a very chill ambient set to put as in the mood! And then the so well known and professional artist Youth played a very nice ambient set including dub, reggae, rock etc...closing his set with a kicking rock remix of Led Zeppelin (Who Lotta Love) that blew up the people attending even the artists behind the stage! Straight after Youth, Abacus performed live his albums, sitting on a chair, behind his equipment, showing his professionalism, and travelling us to other dimensions with his original downtempo ambient music! Trispwitch, was also excellent in his playing!Vertical Smile were also innovative for the festival, consisted of Youth playing Bass and Vocals, followed by younger artists in the rest of the instruments. Also, later in the night Gabriel Le Mar played a wonderful, smooth progressive live putting people in the mood to dance! And Youth played a psytrance set performing for third time in three different styles! In the morning, Uni played a crazy live having a perfect drummer and an instrument working with thermo static energy that I never have seen before! Next and last day, from early in the evening Asura performed an amazing music, something that fitted perfect that time! After Asura, Aes Dana played live and with no doubt was one of the best moments in thefestival! And then, combining their power and music knowledge together Aes Dana with Solar Fields aka H.U.V.A. Network played one of the best live that I ever have heard! Then Solar Fields followed performing a solo live proving his ability to send us to outer solar fields! Hoever, we cannot ignore the live performance of Carbon Based Lifeforms or Sync24 that played a beatiful live as well! Dj Nikitas in my opinion was a suprise in the festival playing a very relaxing with perfect flow progressive set! And we approaching the last night when Vibrasphere played the whole tribe was dancing having a perfect feed back from the artist on stage! Living Vibrasphere's live performance, Abacus played another unrealeased live that made me to be speechless! I couldn't believe that my ears were listening for first time this kind of music! I think this guy hides a lots of aces in his sleeves! Antix, played right after Abacus live giving a continue in the beautiful musics that we were listening! And then a suprise comes again from Max Le Sale Gosse a guy of middle age coming from Ultimae, playing a morning set that will stay in our hearts for a long time! Last but not least, Uni for our favour played again a wonderfull kicking live making an old song of 80's remix that was very strange that we were listening this thing from that guys! They finished with their best track, number 5 from their debut album! I forgot to mention California Sunshine's set that perfomed if I remember well in the second day's morning, travelling us and reminding us his talent of playing a very space out music! Sorry, if I forgot somebody, it maybe caused by the fact that I was tired or didn't listen..! Speaking about forget something I just recalled a german guy called Paul that played after MFG firstly live with his friend and then he played a nice progressive dj set with many Pink Floyd's remixes and other known rock remixes as he later told me, although I knew most of the original tracks like The Wall from Pink Floyd!

Now, about the place was really an ''Island of Fire''. The temperature under the sun might reached in noons almost 50 degrees celsious! But, we had the solution--?-->BEACH & SEA & SHOWERS! The camping area was already occupied in the best spots by people by people that arrived earlier than other but this doesn't matter! Was enough space for everybody, however some peole might camped under sunny places thing quite rough for greek summer! As about the sound system wasn't the best that could be but under these circumstances the sound engineers tried their best although some people were a bit dissapointed! But, problems like that always occur! Inside the camping area, a few kiosks were working but with a bit high price in their stocks! On the other hand, a beautiful chai shop and simple was just in the middle of the beach providing pillows to sit, imagine not many, and having quite a lot of goodies! The toilets were another problem, that made people to ''have a better relation with nature'', but ther is no festival, specially in a remote beach without facing problems such as! Let's ignore this! However, we cannot ignore police behaviour that made a lot of people not even to come but to be afraid to leave the festival area since they had a philosophy to search you every single time that you entered the festival area returning from Moundros village after some food shopping or phonecards! Cigarettes the organizers had arranged to be able to buy inside the festival area in real prices! Personally, I was searched by policemen but I just ignored them! Some people had a few problems but this let it leave it behind! At the end they realized what doomies are and left us in our peace!
That was a ''brief'' description of this particular festival! Everything mentioned is based in my opinion and experience and I could not blame anybody that has a different aspect than this one! I would like to give congratulations to organizers, no need to mention names, they know who are they and give them a message to repeat the festival and learn from some mistakes that were inevitable anyway!
Love to loved, respect to be respected!

First of all a huge THANK YOU to Haris P and his crew for overcoming all the difficulties and organizing this amazing festival. The beach was perfect beyond words and listening to such music at such a place is heaven.

The lineup proved to be exaclty what was needed for such a place.

The Ultimae team mesmerized us with their unique sound, I really can't distinguish anyone, HUVA, Aes Dana, Solar Fields, CBL, Asura, all of them were excellent and very appropriate for that time and place.

Youth earned our respect yet again, for his devotion to good music. His dub set was fantastic, playing tunes from Celtic Cross, Kumba Mela, Dub Trees and Youth in Dub projects. His live appearance with the newly formed Vertical Smile band was so entertaining, giving the live band feel and energy that is usually missing from such events. It was great seeing the veteran hold his bass again and playing it out loud...

The japanese...what can we say about them? Who would have thought that we would enjoy Uni playing live with drums in Greece (and in fact TWICE in the same festival?!). Japanese psy trance overflowing with energy, and thats a fact! As for Kay Nakayama, he really surprised everybody with his live set, a very intelligent set flowing from groovy sounds to psychedelic atmospheres, from breakbeats and intricate patterns to 4/4s and dancing rhythms. Stunning! And of course, Kenji Williams did what he does best, covered the place with his atmospheric violin melodies accompanied by his dancing wife, what a sight...

The usual chill suspects delivered as expected (and even more I would say) since both Abakus and Tripswitch played very fresh music which I am really eager to get my hands on!

For nostalgic guys (like me) listening to California Sunshine playing was an experience like no other. Needless to say, Har-El played all the classic tunes from that golden Goa era. Sadly I missed MFG, and I heard afterwards that I missed another good trip down the memory lane...

The big surpsise for me was I M LGND. Anna played a stunning set, ranging from avand-garde electronica (Autechre, FSOL) to drum & bass (4-5 killer tunes that I will definately have to track down).

I'm sure I am forgeting many other great moments (Gabriel Le Mar played an excellent groovy set), but quality-wise it was like condensing a 5 days festival in 3 days. It's a lot to take in!!

I also want, as Fabrics, to thank all the people who listened to our dj+live set, moving, nodding and dancing to the music. We respect you for that.

All in all, the high quality and variety of the music as well as the perfect setting of the festival left the best of memories to me (and from what I know, to many many attendants and artists as well).
We had a great time in Lemnos and I hope this was the beginning of even bigger and even better things.

Respect and love.

when i first read about this festy ...i was saying tomaself.....<hey you told many times from inside that you won't return greece for a fest till the last samothrake incidents>....from the other point of view the line up was more than intrigued...!!!
after all , friends of mine from Kavala conveinced me to be in the island of fire...when in the wednesday morning we were at the fest area to camp...my surprise was huge when the organziers offered us cold water and cookies....having 5 unforgetable dayz over there i have to say only GOOD words...
...artists with the magikal moments and melodies...
from the wonderful sunset ....from the great great beach that was whispering to ur ears <come , come and swim here.>..or from the organizers that were 100% over there all the time!!!
I was suprised when i heard this beach some months before was without road , electricity and water .....and we reached at an organizing camping...
apart from the sound problems , that next timewill be also ok as we expect to be ...all the THING was perfect....
i beileve that was 800 people spread in the beach ..because tha beach was really Big and because many peoples like mines were staying on the village and other villages near and nor the camping...
thank you to the festival people for this great experience and i really wish people that are making festivals , to make them with the heart and soul of the island of fire ones' that did not care only for our pennies!

It was a nice experience. The music was certainly good, many superb chill-trance sets. Lemnos was a surprise regarding the clean beaches. Most of the beaches there were amazingly clean !
As for the fest, we had a nice time. For sure there were complaints about the stage mostly, and the sound which was admittedly of low quality. But personally, I didn't care that much. The place was great, very picturesque and superb for great trance sunsets. The sea was clean as it could be, the sun was all guns blazing!!! Few people indeed, fewer than expected but all friendly and there was some kind of good atmosphere. Some guys stayed in the island after the fest, some in the very same beach ! We had a tour in the rest of the island, and met some interesting people. We also visited Ethnic Cafe in Ag.Yannis, which had a remarkable goa feel.
On the way back, we had the chance to listen to the local radio, where we heard most of the peoples thoughts about the fest in moudros. Most of them, were pissed off by the police's attitude, as they treated the locals in a hostile manner. I was glad to hear, that the locals thought nice about the fest, and they thought that the people who came there were nice, educated people, and not some kind of aliens they were told to expect ! My thoughts for the locals are positive, they were very friendly and positive all the time. Nice people, nice island, I really hope for a replay next year !!!           Bring yourselves into the light

...........A Million thank you's goes to all real listeners...that made that beach a magik , the artists , those who share hearts and souls to make all this happen.....
People have to know some things more :
[a] The fact the fest was done and ended in a good way was almost a miracle based on our huge efforts ....speaking 24 a day with all locals [authorities e.t.c.]
[b]The sound provided by EUROLINEA sound systems did not respect us as 'friends' and customers and yes u are right the sound was no the quality we wanted....
[c]Musik was more than perfect....
[d]Facilities provieded by municipality were 60% ready ...

all in all with many many problems behind the organization and the 50% collaborator of ours , a limnian habitat , without making anythin of the agreed stuff one week before .
The stage was wrong ...the kiosks were made wrong ...so we stopped our collaboration with him and never will deal again with him...

AS for greek "Big" names like Percussion Bullet that didnot appeared at all at the fest without a notice i just personally say that these guys do not belong to this musik or the scene ...so we personally say you won;t be anywhere near us ....

As for the Radical Distortion attitude towards the stage manager we say just chill out people ...you are just a normal band nothing more.....
you have to learn things from the foreign artists ....pitty you act like this ....
anyway no bad feelings ...
lessons learned......

respect goes to :sotiris, akis , tzulia ,ismini to name but a few.

Haris you were perfect as always. A big respect for your courage and doggedness. In spite of the head winds. Thanks too to all who made this island of fire 2007 beautiful. Oblivion for the others.
Love and light from here, my friend, you can be proud of what you achieve...

in the other topic some djs sayed that there was about 1000ppl at this festival.
from my expirience in festival when a festival has 1000 ppl at the morning they must be at least 200-300 ppl or alse in the worst situation 100ppl.
at this video i can count 30-35.

rumors talking about 300-350 and i think that video confirm them.           www.dot.uk.com
