I think it all started with X-Dream
Groups like FAT, Kuro, COP, early Tetrakys (sp?), Midimiliz... anything in Boshke Beats, Horns and Hoofs Entertainment... Deviant Species, Spiralianz, Cybered, Progus, Neoris, Weird Walker etc, are part of a style of music called Psy Techno. |

that seems kind of obvious, like asking "is metal influenced by rock". |

I think psy trance has plenty of influences... rock, industrial, progressive, acid trance and house... It all melds together in the music. But as far as techno: The ones I place on top are the most heavily influenced artists by techno. |

Source Unknown has techno influences for sure. Others too already mentioned, I've heard it been called Tech-trance or psy-tech.

You kidding?!
Search the net, and you will see that trance actually was a "branch" of 1980's techno.
Peace and Love. |
