heavily influenced... in its earlier stages .
Not so much nowadays..
Koxbox, Xdream, Delta all had techy vibes.
Hujaboy and Sesto Sento still incorporate some tech sounds here n there.           ~*** You can tell By the way i use my walk, Im a woman's man, No time to Talk***~

Parasense
Scorb
Artifakt
NRS
Deviant Species
Damage
Exaile
Ghreg on Earth
among others

all seem to have very techno-influenced sound.

And a good thing it is, since a lot of tricks that you think were "invented" by the ubiquitous teenage psytrance artists were actually done ten years ago by techno producers and beaten deep into the ground by generations of dancers.

          ..it's just another party..

Trance was created before techno so although you can notice some similarities the answer to your question is the other way round:
"Techno was influenced by Trance and not vice versa"
And offcourse as DOT KITE said "every style gets influenced by others".

& Before I swithched to Djying trance I used to play Acid Techno and once it died I changed to the most similar style to Acid techno which is trance.
If you listen to Old school Acid techno artists such as Emanuel Top,Hard Floor,Richie Hawtin,Tesox,Solar quest,Rob Acid,The acid junkies etc... you can defintley notice that Trance and Acid techno had a lot in common.
They were both psychedelic at that time.

the question can b still asked the other way round. neither techno nor trance got stuck in time they were created (this 'time' thing sounds a bit dodgy...oh well..u know what i mean)           Why u little !!!

Ok guys,
you I'm a very openminded person and when I'm wrong I just sit back and learn (Can't be always right anyway)instead of carrying on arguing or debating.
So tell me guys, you said that techno was invented before trance.
So when was techno invented and who were the 1st artsist?
And when was trance invented?
Cause as far as I'm conserned,I've been into the electronic scene since 1988 and I was quite sure it was the opposite way but anyway.

Please illuminate me illumanted ones

Neville...

This is quoted from the brilliant work that Jeff, forumer here, has made a few months ago..

(the complete thing is here : http://perso.wanadoo.fr/psychedelic_trance/ )

Quote:
Of course, nobody agrees on which track was the first Goa anthem. The question is probably of little relevance. Strangely enough, it is not a track intentionally meant for the Goa parties which is often looked upon as the first proto-Goa trance tune. It is The KLF - What Time is Love, judiciously labelled "Pure Trance version", released in October 1988. Nevertheless, there is a strong link between the KLF and Goa Trance : in the 80's, three key protagonists of the forthcoming Psy scene were at the sides of Jimmy Cauty, 50% of The KLF, in the group Brilliant.
First of all Martin Glover, a.k.a. Youth, bassist of Killing Joke before participating in the project The Orb, and who founded the first Goa label, Dragonfly Records, to spread this music to a wider audience than the DATs happy-few, after he enthusiastically came back from the Goa beaches.

1988 here...

Before that, in the year 1985, a guy called Frankie Knukles, "deejay" in the mythic WareHouse in Chicago, revolutionized the way of using the records.. Instead of simply "link" them he will also "mix" them.. and later introduce the sampling in his sets.. The guy will give birth to what so many people here are bashing : House music.

In 1983 already, three guys from Detroit, Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson were creating a sound that skipped the voices, and was based on loops.. What will become Techno.

Hey KAKO...
Wht was I supposed to read in the link you recommneded?
A decade of trance? When was this written anyway, this year?
And what,
A decade of trance?Yes,in Goa but, trance was created in Europe and then introduced to India so I'm still confudes about this!!!

Now let me go further....
In my opinion trance was invented by OZRIC TENTACLES back in the 70's mate although some call it psychedelic rock but the bassline, the sounds, the energy, the vocals, the bpm and the psy in Ozric's music is 100% trance to me.Offcourse they used to use more guitars than synths but that is the only different thing in my opinion.
