But seriously: what is kind of lacking these days is mystery i think. And frequencies. The new age weaponary of the digital artist is taking up too much space in the frequency range, so he can only fit in 2 sounds + bass & kick at once. Oh, and the bass must not fall on the kick, do make sure you remember.
But mystery, yees. All the weird noises & sour leadlines are used, so now we just add FX, eh? & get the kick & bass to sound very bassy:) Psychedelic! Echo echo echo, wog.
Oh yes, another thing. How come trancers seem to get tired of the old stuff so fast? is it because it lacks organical instruments or what? i wonder, because every other genre of music seems to have older albums which sound just as great. now, hallucinogen + the other classics-crew (im, cosmosis etc)`s old music is still classic and very nice, but it sounds so tinny at times. so un-produced. why does it have to be so produced?
man, listen to some black metal or rock or whatever. the production sucks ass, but musically intelligent people seem to dig it just the same non the less.
Anyway, im going to check out your album\s Colin of Oood.
Better live up:)
