Is India ready to dance 2 other styles / sub genres of Psychedelic music ??

How many of you listen to other styles / sub genres of Psychedelic music ??
for eq:
Old skool Goa ,progressive , suomi , minimal ,techtrance etc ??
(i know ive mentioned prog and minimal , im not referring to the usual cheesy stuff that you hear in most clubs ,rather the more trippy intelligent and psychedelic side)
if someone played it at party would u enjoy it and dance
or
would u leave the floor and wait for the full on or dark psy to start and complain to your frenz that the dj is #@#$ing your trip ?
(nd pls be honest guys)
now ...
a question to the djs in the india section ...
Do any of you play the above mentioned apart from your usual stlye that you play ...if you do then how was the feedback from the crowd..
one last question ...are there any djs in india who only play(specialize)any of the above mentioned subgenres ??
a recent debate with a fellow member brought about this question ...
i have been to many parties in India for a long time but have always found it difficult for our usual trance party ppl to digest the subgenres ..(this is just my opinion from my experiences)maybe i ve been to the wrong parties but if you think im worng please share your opinion and experiences..
do you think this trend will change and party ppl in India are opening up to other stlyes ..(other than the usual +145 bpm full on/dark or night music) ???

Ol school Goa and Suomi is ok, maybe goa in the evening time. A suomi sunrise would be enjoyable too.
Tech Trance and Proggy not my preference per say maybe they should be represented on an alternate stage not the main stage. If they play it on the main stage yes then i would complain or run to the chill tent which is again a rare case scenario in indian parties.

old school goa trance...fuck yehh its a shame that this style is very rare to hear in goa its been ages since i have heard a proper old school set...it all started from goa trance and there is no goa trance in goa itself...i wish there is a party where there is only old school goa or even new school goa music...that will be a dream come true for me...
tech trance in a psy trance party for me is a NO..
proggy during late afternoon will be perfect not cheesy proggy though
suomi is good..really psychedelic
please keep 90% of the music psy trance and goa trance in a psy trance party...
P.S- no dub step in a psy trance party

sure ready to dance if it can make me dance played @ appropriate time and place, any music can be good . there sure are many more underground generes , some of them sound possibly way more twisted and crazier than psytrance , but Psy trance is PsyTrance , the whole science behind it, there is no comparison , and there are so many diffrant style you can choose within night music it self for example which canbe played for all kind of peopl , even non trancers , its all about choosing the right sounds for the right moment . afer a serious trance dance session , its good to have some thing diffrant , like stiching ur brains up after a full night surgery .. goa trance , suomi , scandenevian music . probably will have more meaning . how ever in clubs , its a diffrant story then . , it will be a blessing for the moment if at all they do play any goa trance , or decent prog compared to the other non researched crap music local bhangara djs play, we dont have a choice here , dance or go home . so i prefer to stay at home. |

i enjoyed the days of no genres...2-3 djs max...all playing a bit of everything...
nowadays its i play this style...i play that style...i make this style...and a bit of ambient

am with hexo there with the mixing of the genres thing. the best thing you can get now though is a party with an intelligent progression of djs/artists/genres.

Dubstep is quite trippy if done with the right flavor and intent ..! Not a big fan of it..! But people in the west tend to like it quite a bit!!!
And yes for any party to work you need to have an organized and planned way of making the party progress the right and intelligent way!!
i.e to say the djs/artists/genres according to the time slots!!! as well !!

Heard all his work really gr8 enjoyed my time at wrk. Thnks Yidam. I must say very well crafted music.
One Nice rolled J would do wonders while listening to this with some beers.
