Snow is cold! Desert is hot!
That's why it's so good (said the Beer Sheva guy)!

Anyway, everyone has his own preference, and in the snow you won't see me with a MD. You'll see me running to the closest warm place :-)

Hey I come from snowy America and it sucks, it's true Israelis whine about snow, it's kinda funny but you can't blame em.  I hate snow too and dessert is definately better for trance than anything else.  it feels good to sweat your ass off in the morning unless your completly off and then you can't breathe.  Beer Sheva actually gets pretty cold in the winter though, I was there volunteering on Hatzerim...later met some trancers from there all the way up north...
-it's a small country, feels like a great big community, a lot different from my life here in America especially with no trance here, like magus and Gms and good stuff...only techno shit...it sucks

About why you love and hate tracks that you can listen to over and over...it probably has to do with the experiences you had while you heard it for the first time.  At least I can say for me the tracks i love and listen to over and over again, i love them because of the people I was with and the parties I was at when I first heard the song...

and obviously some music is shit and some is good shit

ok, note number one: 7.5 x 10 = 75, not 120.

note number 2: if you hear a track and enjoy it all the way through on the first time, by the fifth time you should be bored of it.

note number 3: if you keep on discovering new bits in the track (usually happens with more complex creations), and it takes you 5 times just to be amazed at all the small touches, it'll take more than 25 to get bored of it (examples for me: Hallucinogen - Trancespotter, Eat Static - Critical Mass, Juno Reactor - Pistolero, I will always hear those tracks and smile).

With all due respect, complex tracks are dissapearing since there is no place for complexity in minimal, and no place for subtlety in full-on (unless with goa influences, like Psychopod - Friagram, the best full-on track ever IMO). When the music becomes obvious, you don't have anywhere to discover in the music. That's why I don't define my musical taste as goatrance only... I just want the music to take me places, if you know what I mean.

And some times, a 5 lane motorway will give you a nice rush of speed, put the twisted dirt road through the forest is just something nicer.

Well, it happenbed to me a lot, that I was amazed by tracks and kept listening to them over and over again. Sometimes you get tired of them. It's like eating something you like too much. But on the other hand, behing every track there's a story, a story you make up. And we change constantly, so if you heard a track a year ago, it may appear different to you now.

Ron ,i think that deals with human nature ,it always seeks 4 smth new , smth 2 innovate ... that's why even most brilliant trax will get u bored after u realize u got everything of it and there is nothing 2 discover .. u can expand it 2 almost every issue in our daily life ,like the girl from transpotting said "Music's changin, drugs'r changin, everything's changin..", etc ... that what is common 4 most of us imo
subtopic : snow + trance = can b good ,u got 2 pick the right trax .. i'm going 2 try swarup - white wing when i go 2 hermon,sounds 2 me like a perfect snowish trak :)
