As much as I don't like their music, I gotta hand it to them tho, they've cracked the commercial scene, something that is very hard to do and props to them for doing that.

You have to understand, these guys are motivated by money and "our" psytrance does not sell out huge concerts played by famous bands.
I hear Infected Mushroom have been relocated in the US for a while now. Their target audience are teens. Hence the cheese that makes you fart your brains out.
By me, they should work on an apology album.

Even though I never thought IM was special or even close to being groundbreaking it's not IM who has to change or make apology albums. Its the psytrance scene (and especially people always complaining about how IM was sooooo amazing in the good old days) that's caught in a time loop refusing to look ahead. Just look at this debate. It's actually quite stupid to keep debating IM so many years after their departure from the scene.

Well IMO this is more psy sounding still than the minimal prog style that is much more aimed at the coke & xtc crowd of inner city clubs & ibiza festivals. I love my minimal prog but it's as relevant to the true psychedelic experience as dubstep.

i assume, that at least 50 percent of the trance artists of today would make violent videos if they had the budgets to do videos with plots at all.
isnt't it a sign of good self reflexion that infected mushroom do this kind of stuff - at least they seem to know where they are situated and what they are up to.
plain violence - but it is violence on themselves on not on others, no? it is not propagating violence, it is satire after all.
