yo psytones! the mushroom aint magic but it's stil infected and its infection IS spreading quite rapidly...so whats the problem here?
i think it suits them just fine,,,
Please do read ILSE's comment on the topic and try to give a more substantiated answer other than "they're not magic anymore" . I dont like it when some well structured statements are countered with 0-meaning comments like " Yeast Infection might be a sutiable name for them, since their sound has becme very nasty over the couple of years. " whats that? very nasty ?oh you are sooo accurate , ican allmost see it infront of me with me very eyes!

Or maybe you stopped doing or enjoying psychedelics or psychedelic music, and trance become just anotrher music industry.
because once you hear the crappy music IM been doing you don`t need substantiated answers or explanations, a trancer can always trust his feelings cause trance actually is a FEELING. no surprise for me IM got a really bad experience playing at Soulclipse in turkey, with tomatoes thrown at them and everything... cause they were among true trancers you know.
IM nowadays.. thats not good or inovative or creative musik by no means... and damn, not well produced, their discs have been getting the same mastering treatment as any boys band, they sound good on crappy radios, but they do not sound good on P.A.s... not as good as fresh producers with 10 years less in musicmaking like Pixel for example... music got texture too, you know.
They quitted hardware and have beem producing basslines with trilogy, same VST as anyone. they quitted thinking and started producing under very classic and boring music schemes, pop music structure... they quitted complex and delightfull instrumentation and traded it for cheap vocoders and lyrics...actually there is a track along with britney spears to pop out (an it IS TRUE)...
do you need more explanation than that?
if you still dont get the point, sorry for you. trance is much more than a industry, and good trance (the kind of trance that leads the way to the future) is not what IM has been trying to do.
kill them for trances sake.

oh man . more people diss the mushrooms .. pls stop .. and realize their contribution to the scene !! so u dont like the newer stuff , they make it for a broader audience now .. even so , with their going fully `commercial` .. they are the driving force wich gets so many new people hooked to psytrance .. in a way all current labels , all styles owe a lot to them , coz it if wasnt for them so many people wudnt discover psytrance at all . more people into psytrance is good for every one . means more money for all labels and artists .. wich in turn means better music for everyone , so puhlease .. its very childish and stupid to say things like this .. anyway .. the world we live in .. change is the only constant .. im happy for infected mushroom .. their production quality remiains unparalled .. they are a good band ..

they are not hooking anybody onto trance...cos the shit they make isnt trance...they are hookinh people on their crappy hard dance crap
yes they were pioneers back in the day and no disrespect to them for that, just right now they suck! and if they sent out the shit they are making now under another name (i.e. not infected mushroom) , it wouldnt do as well
and you call them a band./...for fucks sakes...psy doesnt have bands...we dont do bands , and their production isnt unparralled, their music actually will hurt your ears if you listen to it for sustained periods, due to all the comprerssion, its harsh sounding |

Well, my friend ,I have to say that I find your comment a bit misled ... To me and -correct me ,anyone,if I am wrong - psychedelics teach you to be open to everything and not be judgemental and assign labels.. I never said that I find their(new) music to be psychedelic but because I listen to psy I dont like to diss any music just because it is not psy and to me thats what psy is all about : think of a guy who listens to pop or whatever , his criteria is based on how popular a song is and he will not bother with unknown artists ...When i listen to something new i dont connect it being psychedelic with it being good and if not psuchedelic then its bad , music is infinite so why build walls around it ?

we all know long ago that IM have 'changed their style' and 'gone commercial' and have 'sold -out' and their 'music sucks' and they are 'losers'........
how many times more do we have to hear / see the same thing on threads......its not news anymore and everyone knows what is happening with them.....
So cut the crap and strat threads about something new
