But no, I can`t see why they should change their name. Their music has changed and developed, but no reason for changing name.
Maybe the real question should be: Can we say that they still are psychedelic trance artists? hehe but all my respect goes to them. I mean they have been producing music for long time, and I was crazy about their sound for like 4 years ago. But wtf people change, time change... |

I really don't see the point here..
I have never liked IM (Funny, all the tough guys here in Denmark talks about Psycho as the crazyest track on earth), but I think they still diserve the respect from people, although the style has changed alot..
And I also think, that IF they really should change their name they should have done it years ago.
What about AP, what about Electric Universe, what about MFG and all the other guys who still makes new music on their old reputation?
I think it's fine the name is the same, then I know what to listen to and what NOT to listen to..

hmmm ....
I think people in here just don't see the usual development of these two guys ... first the psychedelics made them famous and as their sound was top notch all the time it still is. who u know is able to produce on this level? its the highest possible in our scene ... that their style changed is also quit usual progress over the years ... people getting older, going to make new experiences on different fields ... u blame them for that ? ... u say they should change their name? ... how stupid ... they worked hard to achieve this name ... and they deserve to be there where they are ...
this neverending story about money and stylebashing cause u just don't like, then stop listen to them!!!! ...
the money they earn, cause we make them famous and as we are free of choosing where we want to live or what god we believe in, they should be allowed to touch new areas in sound creations ....
I don't like the recent sound also ... but as with many other bands in many other genres I just will not listen to them anymore ... just to see what are they up to at the moment ... and all the past few years they slightly changed their style ... they were always the leader in versed crispy clear production level ... and nobody just came near by ...
thats the point imo ... the dump ignorance of some people doesn't want to admit, there is progress in everything ... and fucking jealousy cause they have a good live with what they are doing ...
please ask yourself ... you really think they doing such music to earn more money ? ???

prodigy is still called prodigy and the made punk in the beginning
red hot chilli peppers have still the same name and started witht total different music in the beginning
metallica went into another direction of metal but is still called metallica

Prodigy made punk in the beginning? The original Prodigy line-up was Liam on keyboards and Leeroy, Keith and Sharky as dancers. http://www.discogs.com/artist/Prodigy,+The Never made punk, but they did make killargh electronica music for the druggies =)
.. He (Liam) did on the other hand end up with producing a very punk related album at the end.
Infected Mushroom should change their name because it's a abuse of the holy name "mushroom". Infected Mushroom was and is a good name because of the "mushroom". Now their not very mushroomish anymore, at least not magic. |
