Heh well, I didn't come here to argue but just to make a point.
And the point is that they are successful, more successful than any "Cool Psy Trance" related band will ever be. If you ask them, they will probably respond that they don't make Psy Trance, nor they care about it too much from the simple reason they are too busy working and performing and taking care of their families - in other words they have life, and live it.
So there can be also 20 pages on this blue forum that will say how disgusting their album is, and in real world, it would say that 100 ppl don't like what IM does and take the time to cry about it in public forum.
To Tjaal - I am not Infected Mushroom attorney, I just look from the side and this thread looks pathetic to me, exactly as the hypocrite / double moral way that "psy" community looks at the way they respect the music they do like. And yeah one pill worth more to anyone than a piece of an album that could be used for years...
It's about time, you guys would stop counting the money for the artists, how much they make from gigs or how much they make from making cheesey music. Maybe if more ppl would actually buy the music they like, more quality artist would survive this scene.

I think one thing have to be clear here
Erez & Duvdev started as Psytrance band.
They didnt sign any contract with god {and even with the fans} that they have to produce ONLY psytrance music
Its the most natural thing to develop in music and explorer other genres.
Now, if someone dont like thier music or thinks its bad - its ok. nothing wrong in that.
I dont like Dark psytrance
I dont like Eminem
I do like some pop songs
I do like chill out/ambient
u all make psytrance THAT holy genre.. dont forget there are a few more ppl on the earth that not into psytrance and for them Infected's music is very cool and beautiful.

i sure hope they have as much more fun with whatever they want to do... i will probably always listen to their stuff from the old days and will check everytime they have new realese how more bad can it get.
after all their hiphop stinks compare to real hiphop , same with rock and all. they are masters with psytrance tho.. and this what make all the conflict for the people. i would say its only my opinion but the fact is that most of the trance scene people feel the same.. as if dali choose to draw circles instead his beautifull art.

Yeah right, this exactly why Infected is the only band in Israel ( or worldwide if you wish ) coming from the Psy Trance scene that manages to fill Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv Harbour ( about 6000 ppl ) in 2 consecutive gigs, or bring thousands of people to watch them all over the world every where they perform.
I would say that if most of the Trance people feel the same, Infected should play in front of empty clubs and venues, and finish their gigs with enough tomatoes for a nice salad for all of them..
Again, I think its a little pretentious to take 6 or 20 or 50 pages of shite written in this forum, and make the statement about how Trance World feels. And I still think that Smashing the Opponent is a super pop song.
Oh, and if Dali had chosen to paint circles instead of his wonderful art, than it probably would be his choice and no other ppl's business.

I at least only writte on my behalf. So to throw the bashing card on this thread is cheap. Whether you like it or not IM came from this music scene even if their muisc doesnt relate to it so much peolple are bound to comment on it...
The other point is that in my HPO their music either it is psy, pop-psy, electronic-nu metal or whatever, lacks quality (leaving the production level out).
So they want to sing but Dudev cannot. They want to cross to other audiences/genres but they dont master the other genres and fall hard on musical cliches from other genres...and the music sounds empty of identity!!!!
Should a praise be given 'cause they play for big audiences now? Or because they simply are doing something different (even if it doesn't work?) from what they were doing?
It's not because it's pop(ular), it's because it's bad pop!!!!

I actually like the new album... didn't think I'd be saying that. But it really is good fun. I don't think this album was meant to change the world or anything but for what it does, it does it well. 
I certainly wouldn't write it off as bad pop.
I very much like project 100. Tasty shit.
I guess though that reviewing this album here is like asking for a electricians opinion on a sheep. It aint no psy trance album. |

great album in my opinion
if you guys say all the album is "shit" you don't understand shit about music,srry.
there is so much talent in this album all you think about is if their style is not psy anymore you shouldn't give it a chance.
