We have this same problem in Hardcore. I know it's about a million miles from psytrance but promoters book producers instead of DJs who play a selection of their own works and nothing else.

It's infuriating as a DJ to watch really boring producers do a sub-standard set without a care for the party or how the people on the dancefloor feel.

This seems to be happening in all genres of music nowadays.

I see you're ego is intact still

Nobody wants to listen to 'just' psy trance, they haven't in the past and never will. Just an unfortunate few are self-centred on just one genre. Fuck psy trance. Cybernetika's new release should give you some ideas Beat Agency rather than rinsing all your old shit over and over again - imo <---

I can listen for just psytrance a whole night(what is "just psytrance" for you btw?), With diverse energy and style. But Of course there is always room to mix in some other types of electronica as long as the energy is there and that it adds to the experience. But killing the vibe by changing style is just stupid, if you got a rolling energy you should try and keep it, but also know when to transform it and push back or forward

Skilled Dj´s and Artists will make a good blend and make a good surprise for most dancers.

Btw i really love psychedelic and euphoric DnB. It works swell on the dancefloor i think. More of it is of course welcome in my opnion. Would be nice if someone could give us a Dj set of some psytrance mixed with PsyDnB. I think it can be a real Climax thing to bring in the DnB, But it cannot take over so there is no point of return, Energy wise. But this is deffo up to the Dj´s and Artists.

Heads up for more fusion, And more intelligent music
