i think artists should try and come up with track names that fit the music and not just name the tracks because they have to pick something. i think that is a really important part of production that is really overlooked.

I think its cool when the name really captures the feeling of the track... A few that come to mind are
Hallucinogen- Solstice
Dark Soho- Gothic Prayer
Violet Vision- Fingering Nuns on Mars
Vibrasphere- San Pedro
Vibrasphere- Manzanilla

If the name doesnt fit the track, well no big deal what's in a name anyway?? But if the artist can think of a name that fits the mood of the track, more power to them! Track names are also cool when they refer to obscure things that I happen to know about. For example physicist Stephen Hawking, in his book "A Brief History of Time" tells a story about how an old lady at one of his lectures told him he was full of it and that the world really rested on the back of a Turtle. When Hawking asked what was under the turtle she said "It's Turtles all the way down!". I always wondered if the track on Otts Hallucinogen In Dub CD by the name "Turtles all the Way Down Mix" was a reference to that....
I also like it when the track names are words that relate to science and mysticism and are not words I have heard of before. I have found out some really cool stuff by Googling track names that I didnt know what the word meant. (For example Pleidians- IFO inspired me to look up the names of each track and find out the Greek myth behind each of the sisters).

But of course if I dont like how it sounds the coolest track name in the world will not make it sound good.

That kinda says it all... At the end of the day, if a track has got a name which is ridiculous, but the track rock, that's what's more important..

Though I'd probably still refer to it then as "Track number ... on the CD"           To hell with reality! I want to die in music, not in reason or in prose. People don't deserve the restraint we show by not going into delirium in front of them. To hell with them! - Louis-Ferdinand Céline

I prefer more creative names but it's really not such a big deal. Often the quality of the name reflects the creativity of the artist however - full-on tracks have some rather dismal names you'll note.

i see it as each track has its own identity, and to overall you have to name it. Some artist got the name and then they have to find the proper sounds etc to identify it. Also you can stick it easier to your mind the name of each track , it helps

im a firm beilever in "you cant judge a book by its cover" but...

songs i write always have a meaning behind the name. i dont like picking a title that just "sounds good." no one else may get the meaning behind the title, but it means something to me... and honestly thats all i care about.

i always think its fun thinking of meaningful names. for example, i have a title using the first letter of towns around my hometown. when you connect those towns you get a symbol. i love creative titles, its just fun.
