Importance of crowd?

I've been seeing in people's reviews about parties that one of the most important things that make a party good (or great) is the crowd.
Why does it matter so much?
Why can't you dance by yourself without careing about other people no matter how much they suck?
BTW, I'm not the raver kinda guy so maybe that's why I'm having a hard time understanding this.

The best atmosphere is when u with good ppl.
but when there are only Arsim: Just dive into the music and let it all go.

I don't like "piri jyrä" people (=amphetamine rage dancers) ..you know the ppl who occupy like 10m x 10m area.. everyone is afraid to go any closer cause they might hurt you.. by accident.. but still..

if the crowd doesn't matter why not hold online parties with all the music streamed to people's homes? 
a party is a social event... these things do tend to matter... the music can be weak but if you're with the right people then the night can be very nice... but no one says you have to approach it like this - do what you feel like, focus on your chosen aspects, and don't worry too much what the commonly accepted path might be if you find enjoyment from your own way... |

The crowed in my opinion is one of the most important things!!!! They should be good ppl that come to have fun at a party and not to fight with others!! Without good ppl in parties that parties will sux badly
Lets just hope for good ppl in the parties we will be at

Good crowds are very important. Good Crowd = Good Vibes (Usually ). Good Vibes make a good party..

It is ALL about the vibe! I'm the really "unsocial" type of person that loves to go to parties alone and stay alone all the time. There is a magic on the dance floor that bonds people and make that experience always intense and pleasant. Everyone happy...

It's pretty obivious ur not a Raver
i talked just like you about 2 years ago
before i started go to real parties
and i tell u , the crowd is one of the main things in party , when the crowd is full of arsim or little kids you cant really enjoy thr party , another thing that the dj himself will give a commercial set or not the music he feels he should give , because he cant really turst the crowd who wants just BOOM without any thinkings in the tracks.
that's my point of view.

may be its just me, i come from times when arabs and arsim were very usual crowd of trance prties, when word "selection" was didnt known to trance org and when we all had big fun together no matter what..
and i have to say that this "arsim" very friendly on good drugs, bring watermelons and share it on the morning hours:)
i miss parties with "aravi ha gingi" and "shula ha freha", miss share some joint with them and talk about how miko is king:)
i prefer dance crowd !! energetic crowd !! crowd that going wild with the music and share joints !! crowd that able roll without stop dancing, crowd that know see things without stop dance and loooook, crowd that enjoy itself, crowd that dont care about mix skills of dj, crowd that just ppl from all sots !!
