Im thinkin of going to Israel on vacation next summer. Which city do u recommend i should visit and why?

Jerusalem is the only city you should visit, the others aren't worth visiting (unless you're passing by).
Israel has a very beautiful desert in the south (and the dead sea of course).
In the north you'll find a very beautiful, green landscape (don't know how attrative it is for swedes though  ). |

hey hey, give some respect to tel aviv..
jerusalem is a very nice ct, there are a lot of things to see... but if u want to "do" and not just to "see" u'll have to spend some time in tel aviv..
if i was going i would spend my time between jerusalem, tel aviv, northern israel(no more than 2 days) and maybe a bit of sinai (egypt)... |

If you're out to meet people from the scene and buy music and so on then Jerusalem is not really the city to go to.. Go to Tel Aviv.
But do yourself a favour. Go to the dessert... It's beautiful mate.

Thx for all replies.
This will sound a little mean, but is it dangerous to go out on the evenings alone. I have a friend in Africa who says its dangerous to go alone and that u should have someone with u...
And one more thing. Is the music u can buy on the streets burned? or is there only music to buy in real shops..?

No it's not dangerious to go out in the evening unless you got to the dodgy neighbourhoods that every city in the world have. Dont worry. Israel is not a dangerious place to stay in. Of course there's all the trouble we see on the TV but that's on TV mate.. It happens for sure but the chance that it will happen to you is very very small... It's more likely that you get hit by a car on teh street.

eheh no thailand, its more like germany before they turn to euros. average europian prices, before whole economic goes down.
i can a bit dissapoint ya but there is not realy many titles in the record shops, so better buy cds in sweden or online. but u sure can find some nicey second hand cds, rare isralien stuff.
about get alone on de streets, well, we are one of the most safe countries in this case, i was sleeping outside my home from age 14 and spendwhole nights on tel aviv streets, its never dangerous.

Tel Aviv is a nice city, but I guess it's nothing comparing to Stockholm.
About CDs - check out the sticky post on the top. Full CD price is about 75NIS (15 euro). I heard the Krembo shop has everything, but their prices are not cheap.
To sum it up, I'd say you should come to Israel for the desert, the beaches, the girls,jerusalem and nature parties (in the summer).
