zmandan....great point...sounds from different countries...
i def. agree there is an indian sound.....most of it is focused on night time full psychedelic......but also many examples going towards different directions....(look jalabee cartel, ma faiza, indian chill out etc)...
what i want to say is that, as previously pointed out, india (in my personal experiences) has always given me the most psychedelic music.....goa was playing "dark" music way before the other countries discovered as the main stream night music....obviously because it all started there.....
i regenerated myself in india with fresh new sounds coming from all the world (always related to night) so its pretty understandable that the tendecy of indian artist is towards full powa psy killa music.....and i love it!
thats the way to do it......
and to the first list posted im going to add:

PS i think also that the creme had something to do with it....you lucky bastards!!! |

This is by far the most productive topic of recent times..
A direction towardz whtz gotto be done and collective conciousness of whtz happenin currently...
indian psy (goa trance) is at its infantsy..... still in its diperz.... 
even though goa is in india.. goa trance was a child of the hippies....
well if you ask me... india already has its identity in psykadelia...... the percussion , the flute , tha sitar , and so on so forth....
these instrumentz getz us into the zen of reality without substances....
soothz the mind... calmz the soul... a true extacy...
indian vocalistz and instruments gettin out notes that leaves the world dumb founded n a enigma that the world tryz replicating.....
people from far n wide commin here to learn the mysticism of indian zen mechanicz thru its muzikk......
isnt this trance..... aint this psykadelia....
if we'r reffering to the trance muzikk or jus goa trance.... which is fuel'd by substances...
guess we indianz have not yet done enoughh...
or maybe done too much.... cause really indian psy trance (goa trance) is really monotenous !!!
wizzy dark noises from 3 or more countries put together into one trackk n thenn called hard core full on killaahh.... hahaha... wht a bunch of crapp...
if we really want to make a '""mark""' we gotto look into our rootz n find out what our blood linez are really made of... not some mambo jambo adopted from the iseralies or the russianz... em not sayyin i dont like this muzikkk..... ( when em space'd out) but it still does not provide me tha essence of true indian psykadelia..
thaz why its more funn havinn gorazz ,gooreez trance dancing on the same platform listinin to hard core hypnotic muzikk where we bond together as a collective conciousness.... which is funnn
but if ur lookin for a signature style....
we better start lookin withinn.....
and inculcate it into the muzikk that suits our generation...
high BPM or low...
make it happen..

+ 1 . When i started this topic i wasn't specefically referring to influences limited to classical Indian instruments or anything, that way should music from Scotland have bagpipes? hehe... I meant anything thats unique to the Indian psytrance sound. Something more original than only classical instruments' influence

Indi Tracks are .but problem is with dialogs in Track 
Hope indian psy will be much more on the lines of alien ,Horror fiction , cosmos rather than 99 PROBLEMS and MORE TeeN MAGIC.

PS:- Heard jalebi cartel play in GGN for @ an hr sometime back ...there is lots of talent there ...live too ...but whre is our dark for the outdoors sound ...cant we have anything like this with more pubch!!!

there is no Copycat.. there can never be..

sure theres some already established and some promising upcoming guys from India but i`l stick by my original post .. there is no `Indian sound` ...not just yet .. and i don't think there will be ... theres all sorts of music from every country now days .
