Indian sound!!! ..if it all started here on the beaches of GOA with men in gandhi frames with long hair and local fisher folks sitting around fires smoking THC and sipping on URAK..... banging NASHIK DHOLES and other INDIAN drumming instruments for the baselines ... the world called this GOA trance... and if GOA is in INDIA.... people..... trance right from the days of its origination has always had the INDIAN sound influence to it.....
now .. if yall guy are talking about integrating more indian instruments to trance.... that would be a different story..
but ... from what I feel know and understand about music....and that includes trance as well.... its the mind of the artist that creats the sound.... his attitude.. his lifestyle.. his past ... his childhood ... his upbringing.. the climatic conditions that he lives in... the geographic terrain that he lives in... and yes the top of the list .. the D`s that he does....(am not saying that all artists do D`s)...
PS: at times the country that the artist lives in also somewhat influences the music that is created (eg: aggressive style are displayed by people from countries that are or were constantly at war)
boom from boombay |

Ok, what sound or what kind of tunes do we actually represent (psytrance)........
Like, south African sounds are more twighlightish........
Australian - More morningish......
Scandinavian & Other Europena countries (Sweden, Finland, Macedonia) - Foresty Dark......
Although there are a couple of nice night artists in India like Silent Horror, Liquidnoize, kerosene Club.........
But nothing that can define the INDIAN PSYCHEDELIC SOUND............

Does there really need to be something that can define it? I think we can do without "tags" sometimes |
