1- Freq - Return to the masters
2- Trickster - Daredevil
3- Krueger and Coyle - Space Boy
4- Sativa - Circular Structure
5- Freq vs Spherical - Suzuki Sun
6- Antix - Free as we are (BLT rmx)
7- Jaia - Hypnostatique
8- Frogacult - Essential

OK, let's get the suspense out of the way. Simply put, this is the best comp of the past 2 years. It's totally progressive and totally psychedelic at the same time. If you've heard emok dj, you know the feeling well.

Freq-return to the masters. This guy is out of control. Another sick sick bomb from the master down under. One of the best tracks of the past year, up there with his masterpiece on plusquam.

Trickster-daredevil. Huge dance floor track. Kind of like psytrance used to be before it morphed into queer neo-full-on-trance-for-e-tards. Lots of fun and power.

Krueger and Koyle-space boy. Another tribal bomb from these two sickos, but this one is far more trippy and spacey than their previous efforts. It's got both that dirty house groove vibe and totally mental psy-scapes. it's HUGE. Hope to see sbk do more of this and less commercial stuff.

Sativa-circular structure. Surpise surpise, another psychdelic bomb from steve good, aka double dragon. The groove is there, and the mind tricks/audio games are also there aplenty! Check out the radio interview that runs in the background throughout most of the track. bonus points to whoever correctly guesses first which asshole is being interviewed!

Freq-suzuki son. It's freq back for more. That's all you need to know. Just roll with it.

Antix-free as we are (blt rmx). As if we weren't spoiled rotten by all the gems on this comp and the antix album last year, we get the rmx of the year from one of the best tracks by antix. (even though the rmx is great, the orginal is still better.) the nostalgia feeling is there...that "this is what it is all about" tingle, as this massive breakdown builds and builds and builds...and then the hysteric floor on the verge of explosion...building...building...gets... nothing. fucking great! you are waiting for this huge explosion, but then the track just teases you silly with end of the breakdown. wicked!

jaia-hypnostatique. this one's allright morning groover, but it's not nearly as nice as the blissful peter pan syndrome.

frogacult-essential. i have a vague impression that this was nice in that understated frogacult kind of way, but to be honest, i can't remember a damn thing about it! sorry! oh well. after the sensory overload of the first 6, maybe that's what the comp needs.

OVERALL: fucking 10/10 no question about it. This is what has been missing--that perfect crossover point where progressive groove blends perfectly with psychedelic and mental depths. I am someone who buys trance cd's probably more out of habit these days than anything else and usually end up dissappointed, but this compilation is all the goods rolled into one mean little disk.

N.B. Please support innovative independent labels like Iboga that have the integrity and vision to put out an outstanding release like this one when the chances of making any profit are basically zero. This is the best the scene has to offer. Give it what it deserves.

Support integrity.

Kai matthesdorf played that return to the maters track last weekend (i asked him what it was), DAMN!!!!! What an absolute killer rocker dancefloor burner.
I was bouncing and jumping and screaming like a mad psychopath.

I I were to make music myself, it would sound like this.......           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

Still didn't get it, but there's one track here I know well, the BLT remix to Antix. This is a sure contender to remix of the year, and that is said without me hearing many other remixes in 2004.

Unlike russ I think the remix is much better than the original.

It's my perfect sunrise track, groovy, meaningful, with engulfing sound, and most of all emotional in a way I haven't heard trance be in a long while.

Just wondering Jaia - Hypnostatique is that a new track or was that on a 12'' from a while back like at least 3 years ago. Can't remember what label, I've got it a home somewhere, but can't find it

This comp looks amazing hopefully my copy will arrive this week, good work Iboga!
