It's quite hard to judge the flow of a set simply by looking at the tracklist. Try to record it, and I'll be more than happy to provide you with some feedback           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

I think its horrible, crappy emotionless music all the way
but thats just me ;-)           We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home.

I think it's not good, if you had written the bpms of each track by it's side you'll notice you're going up and down...

Tracks don't seem to match, for example "Talamasca - Overload" followed by "Bizzare Contact - Drop It" is not a good combination IMO...

Also you should stop playing killargh mp3.

Where's the flow in this?? Shouldn't you start out real stomping and end with some more laid back tracks? (Or just the other way around if you prefer). I see no real flow here.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

I think you will need alot more than 28 tracks to make up a 3 hour DJ set.. unless you fade out all your tracks.....           "VA - REWIRED" OUT NOW !! (techtrance invasion) ---> http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/86303/forum/9

I'm part of the school of "Point A to Point B" and this one isn't a journey by the looks of it... but you gotta start somewhere. Try for CD-length sets to begin, then work your way up.

@Yonkie

I use around 32/33 tracks for 3 hours - I do short mixes most of the time (when its full on Im mixing at least, tracks in themselves are short - I dont want big parts of them flowing into each other too often).
Depends on your style though - but, 28 will probably not be enough if you beatmatch.

Record it - or just listen to the tracks in succession in winamp. Be carefull not to go back and forth between the same attitudes and moods in the music.
Think about the energy of the tracks, and when you are playing + who plays before & after you.

I dont think anybody can comment reliably on flow just by reading the track names, not even if they know all of the tracks. You need to go thru the emotional spectrum, experience the passing of time and how the music influences your mood.

Good luck, and have fun with it

You are so uninformed EYB The BIGGEST mistake a DJ can do is forget to go to the toilet before a long gig... Especially if he had something mmm, quickly digestible to eat ;-)
I wonder what Goa Gil does during his long spiritual 18 hour sets

Best Wishes

Hm....shouldn't a DJ react spontaneously to the mood of the crowd instead of prearranging the whole set at home? Or am I just old-fashioned? ;-)
