How was your first experience with psy, and when did u get addicted to it...?

ever since my first expeience of a rave in Perth which was in 94 with the prodigy, I have been seeking for more mind altering music. My first 'psy' experience would be 97 escape from samsura at the fridge, I was already hooked to dance music so I can't say psy was it but I have to admit that now I have to be pretty desprate to travel out of my way for anything else. Psy is the music that you can always be hearing more out of a track the longer you live, will at least a track with depth. |

i guess it was when i downloaded the track infected mushroom & xerox - acid killer from kazaa
and i got addicted

2000 / When i heard it for the first time in my car....
Well when it started i was a bit confused on what aspect of the music was good but after i smoked my first joint.....that was it ! Each and every sound was a crazy experience for me......Its just been a fwd journey from that moment onwards !!
I love it !!

My first Contact to Psy - Trance was 96 or 97 i don't remember right now,but it just a lill Party about 200 People or something.It was really raining cats and dogs and I had never heard a sound like that before so I just thought:"There are 2 ways to finish that evening,the first would have been to turn around and go home,the second was to go out of the only dry place I had found and to jump around just as crazy as anyone else."
After some Minutes of thinking I started my dance and decided to walk along the 2nd way.This way I'm walking until today.
But reaqlly "infected" i got about 2 years later on a Space Tribe Act in the Rex in London

My first experience with psy was in 97 when i came across an album called twisted in a local store, not knowing what it was and seeing the song names i bought it, and when i played it at home , my god a whole new world opened up, what is this and at the time i was into death metal and this hallucinogen cd made me go and get rid of all the metal and began my journey into PSY, and the rest as they say is history.

The first time i had a chance to listen to Psy trance was in my friends car... didnt like it a bit though... was completely into rock at that time... hehehe... and then my cousin and friends planned a trip to goa... and took me to bamboo forest... just smoked some spliffs and crashed near the chai vaali... i was completely taken aback looking at the crowd... i had no idea what was going on there... and then, the next day was new year's eve... and we decided to check out hill top!!! my first time on ecstasy... and i got no idea for how long i danced... i am completely hooked on to psy ever since...

I'm sure I've told this story already...?
It was 2001 I think. I was skiving college one afternoon round at my mates house. He was a psytrance addict - I didn't even know what psytrance was at this point, nor had I ever heard any. We drank tea, got wrecked and, knowing that I loved my chill and ambient music, said something along the lines of..."You have to hear this, you'll love it!" and proceeded to play me Shpongle's Blissful Awareness... Well I pretty much thought I'd died and gone to heaven, and after that Inexpressible didn't leave my stereo for about two years, I was so obsessed with it.
He introduced me to a number of psy-chill albums and others I discovered for myself over the course of 3-4 years. We even started writing an album together at one point but it all kind of fell through. During that time I really struggled with trance. He used to play it constanly, some really dark twisted stuff that I couldn't get my head round. For ages I thought all trance sounded like that so it put me off for a long time. I much preferred the old Goa style and still do. I find it a little ironic that since losing touch with him, my taste for trance has developed considerably (he always said that one day trance would grab a hold of me and he was right), though my knowledge of it's history and development is practically zero and I still feel as though I have 15 years of good music to catch up on. And 15 years of parties....
At heart though, I am a chill out/dub girl. I always will be. It floats my boat in all the right ways, as they say. |

umm been into electronic music ever since 97 listen to psy music for the 1st time in 98-99 but never gotten addicted even though i listen to a couple of tracks a day however my main addiction is house music! |
