**how to pay artist for unreleased trax??**

lately, i've been finding that the trax i want to hear loud are not being released. i can only find them on mp3 sites like mikseri and thixxndixx, antiscarp.etc.
i dont think they'll ever be released as there are too many releases already (but that's a different topic), but i really wish there were a way to PAY the artists in order to get a good sounding copy.
there are so many struggling, new artists makin trance with really fresh sounds.
i dont know how to solve the sharing problem, (i can only make decisions for myself, and consequently i dont share my music), but i'd really like to help out these new artists by buying their music, so if anyone has any ideas on how to pay an artist for their never-gonna-be-released trax, please, please tell me.
or better yet, please make some website so you can make some money off me too

I am working on a project similar to thixxndixx and antiscarp, and was thinking about including some way to donate to artist on the site. I figured that there is not so many that would do it, and don't know if it will justify the cost of implementing.
Another option is to give away up to 192k mp3 and charge people for lossless and/or 320k mp3.
It would be nice to hear if it seems like more people would like to pay or donate.

@EYB. money huh? should i just send US$?? do i send it first and then hope that i get the music?? does the artist give his/her track to me, then hope s/he gets paid? i was hoping for something more elegant...
@ Spindrift. wow, cool. good luck with that. i think i'd rather get tho low quality free to see if i like it, then pay to get the higher quality. i dont think anyone will donate, but i do think people want the high quality stuff enough to pay for it (well this person does ).
really tho, it comes back to the 'sharing' problem... sigh, and i dont know what to do about that, my own sphere of 'influence' only being so big (not even covering myself half the time  )

unreleased means
1.noone wants them
2.there is no permition to release
3.artists don't want them to be released(mostly not happen)
why should you pay for something that contain one of these ?
let's pay Bosh for all drill models that they did not put into market .
Pay back to artists for unreleased track , do not download them so the only artist will play his own , not known material.
I have many unreleased trax i bet EYB have too that's why we starting artists , so buy my trax ppl .........
there are standarts so we pay for them , because non standarts release will create chaos in whole system. |

A lot of good psychedelic music is too strange for mainstream psy labels. Thus it remains unreleased. Check out Vicious Spiral - one of the most brilliant artists, yet only has 2 released tracks.
i'd really like to donate some money to him so he keeps making psytrance.
and I'm not going to pay for crappy unr full-on that gets, like, 10 releases a day, when the real psychedelic artists remain unreleased. |

Sector666....I heard a lot of music that I think is great that never got released, trance and other styles. For example from the finnish crew, who is behind the websites mentioned here. Some of them even refuse to release their music even when the lables been interested.
I like the non standard releases if any, so I guess you just have a different taste than me.

these who create real underground music no need in money because they are musicians+hippies and musician hippies live from fame nor money ...... if we going into the subject that way ....................
Why you call it non standarts , if label want so it is a standart for them , just artist is maybe little bit like himself too much to release his music to other ppl ....
but mostly these are the masterpieces . |

well there will be soon psytrance.com (if it will come to life) where artist can realese their own stuff with no label involved.
it will work with 4$ payment to the site and the rest going into artist account once a month.
each artist ask his own pricr for the cd!
the secret is that each one that buy cd actually pay for burning it! there aint gonna b stocks...

Is it really that hard to get in touch with the artists? if they are spreading the music online themselves you might get even more tracks sent to you for a small fee

dunno who spead what ! but the point is that unreleased music is unreleased and some of us threat is like more underground or more creative but it is not true , there are labels which release underground music like in Israel , Tribal , Doof and couple more underground that i won't name .......i bet there are same thing in europe .

i think that many trance musicians should meditate about the way to spread their tracks and Finland is a good example of:
"music for pleasure"
because they do like that for years ago and never cry about original cds or copies... |

I partly agree, but look at it this way: Doof released 14 cd's so far, featuring about the same number of artists (roughly). while if you look at findland and such, there are artists there releasing one track after another online, free, but "unreleased" as far is "published on cd" is concerned. No matter how many cd's these labels release there will always be a larger group of artists that doesn't make it trough the selection procedure... and if they decide to put their music online for free i can only encourage them!
if listeners want to find ways to reward those artists that decide to do so i think both the artist and the listener have achieved their goals, without the medium of cd's or help of labels.
