yeah there is a huge amount of very talented psytrance producers (at mikseri's for example) and just because it's unreleased it doesn't mean it's not good enough to release it through a label. i could imagine that these people even are true artists, devoting their life to it more than the average, regularly releasing producer (generally spoken). some of this people also dont want to gain any money for their work.

so that psytrance.com idea sounds just great, and there is also the possibility to let them play in your parties, if you are willing to take probable risk and to give someone a chance.           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

A lot of good psychedelic music is too strange for mainstream psy labels. Thus it remains unreleased. Check out Vicious Spiral - one of the most brilliant artists, yet only has 2 released tracks.

i'd really like to donate some money to him so he keeps making psytrance.

and I'm not going to pay for crappy unr full-on that gets, like, 10 releases a day, when the real psychedelic artists remain unreleased.

that´s it.
i have lots of hope that in the future it will be much better for underground artists to spread their music through the internet and earning underground-appropriate pocket money for their good work. this way the music will be much better cause there is no need to earn money.

rik, you are a wise man

i totally agree with you, Anakoluth. and Spindrift.
there are many good artists that still aren't being released. and i like the intention of a lot of those finnish artists. i mean, if we aren't gonna have fun, what's the use?

anak. i wish i could bring underground artists here, but it seems that in the states even parties with big names (like astral P, wizzy noise, shakta, etc) often still lose money + it seems like everyone is an artist these days. there are really quite a lot of underground producers here already

Sektor666, i do buy the stuff i like; my point is there is much more that i'd like to buy, but can't. I'm with DiMiTry on this one

Tsabi, i do hope that website comes along soon. i think that would work. (and super big thanks for being such a nice guy. can't wait to decimate the playa with your old skool psyfunk sounds )

i believe that digital will be the distribution method of the future, but we arent there yet. soon i hope, sooooon...

I for one would be willing to purchase unreleased tracks from artists of all sorts and kinds.. If i can help artists grow in anyway possible, im up for it.. as long as they don't get to greedy..

Some artistst already DO sell tracks to people through the internet.. there is PAYPAL for the payments.. you just have to aquire a certain amount of trust between the artist and the buyer, to ensure them that there tracks won't be found on the internet.. thats the hard part..           "VA - REWIRED" OUT NOW !! That's the funny thing about some of the mentioned artists... they already give it all out for free themselves. they put up to 320kbit mp3 files of their tracks online for people to enjoy. they don't expect any money (yet).

I wonder if the download page would have a paypall button on it, free to use when you feel like it... would the artist make any actual money? (this fits more in a sponsoring concept than buying music imho)

simply booking the artist is also an option but far from within everybodys possibilities.          www.psytracks.com :: Brand new website for sharing your psytracks with the world. Get a free 250Mb Artist profile, Blog and events calender!

we "blabla guys" at least we (or some of us) are thinking about a way to give more a people a chance in our "industry" which is an all positive thing and for sure better than treepissing around mate.

Strike up an email exchange with some artists... some are keen on sending tracks out... my prob is that I won't play an mp3 of any kind out at parties, so I like to get .wav's of good unreleased from artists... I don't mean unreleased like the latest skazi remix of some commercial crap, I just mean amateurs making great deep music who don't go with labels or haven't broken through... the rockstar mentality is still at work with most artists in the psy scene and that's too bad... strange that many would prefer their music unheard than to have it out there...

I found this www.resonantearth.com in the promotional section.
Yet another great effort from the NordicCountries to bring out music wich doesn't fit under a label, or just hasn't been recognized yet. Here with the possibility to support the artists via paypal button.
A fine example for how to pay artists for unreleased tracks. I hope we will be able to access more great unheard music this way soon.

here's a link for anakoluth:

http://www.freakdancerecords.net/

freakdance records is releasing mikseri.net
style of music. this could be also the place
where psunspot could have a chance to buy
the compilations he's searching for (if
they're still available).

if somebody is offering music for free
why not just make contact via mikseri.net
and expalin you would like to "sponsor"
him/her. i'm sure it's not a problem.

the web site tsabi was talking about sounds
very interesting indeed. hope it'll function soon!
