Get a good place, make sure the cops don't come. Get good arists, get a good crowd, nice deco and visuals, a good sound system and the right advertisement, so everyone knows there's a party going on. Should be fun

Good close friends, good food, good drinks, good music, good environment (location & deco).

I find you don;t even need a big name to have an awesome small gathering with good friends, have often gone out camping or even rented a holiday house down the coast n' brought my own gear n' tunes n' friends bring theirs, and just dj or play that stuff.

Big gigs with loads of strangers & big names just kills the intimate vibe that makes underground gathering such a happy happy joy joy experience
