How important is an organizer/artists character?

Should Djs, Artists, and Organizers be judged on other things than the quality of their music/parties? Does it bother you if you do not think that the artist/organizer of a party is a good person, or if they have a bad attitude? Does it make sense people refuse to attend parties if the organizer has a poor attitude or ethics in order to send a message? If the artist is an arrogant prick does it make sense to refuse to buy their music, even if it is good? Or if we like the party or the music should we be willing to overlook distatestful facts about the organizer or artist? What do you all think?

I hate popularity contests.

Focus on the product, and not the person.

If an organizer is professional and trustworthy + delivers a good & interesting product, than thats what matters.

If a production artist creates good music, that is what matters.

If a djing artist has talent in regards to mixing and flow + understands how to create mindblowing sets, that is what matters.

Those who tend to become un-popular are often those who break the norm and speak their minds.

And if people become un-popular by fucking over other people, and something concrete like that - Well, then they are not professional. Therefore, the focus will be on professionalism, and not whether they are likeable or not.

Only (wannabee) popular people (with big ego's) love popularity contests .. A great album title btw --> http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/ver/ver1cd010.html Psykovsky is a man that I admire (no shit). He "hides", doesn’t show off(ish), never stands in the spotlight. And keeps him self, and everything he does as a secret. Keeping the mystics alive. Ott is also a person that I admire in the same aspects.

For me it isn't a popularity contest. I can respect someone's music, but if they exhibit behaviour that isn't genuine, then I can't really constitute wanting them to come play for an event I did. I also am a firm believer in event organizers to love what they do. I would prefer them to be into this scene and the global community for the music, not for any sort of personal gain. You can be a nice person, make music or parties, but not attempt to be the foci of attention. When you break it all down to it's base roots, we all have to sit on the toilet at some point. I like individuals that are regular joes to some extent. The ones that do it for the sheer enjoyment of it, so to speak.

There are many times where an artist or organizer will begin their journey with their intention being to continue to propogate the music, but tend to stray once attention is focused upon them. And sometimes the culture itself can become icon-specific, where they need a visual focus point to fully connect to the music. Occasionally, it's great to be able to not see who is playing and just listen to the music...

Back to the original point. It's very important to me if the artist or organizer is a nice person with a relatively similar vision as mine. I can respect any artists' music, but I have a hard time connecting on a human level with artists who tend to be hung up on their ego. I have just as much difficulty with organizers who throw events to get the largest amount of people they can, without regard to sharing the ideas of what the gatherings were about...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

the final result is the product and that counts more, but if the artist is an egoistic character that seems to be showed in his/her product,if someone do it for money then we loose a deeper meaning and even the music loose a piece of magic maybe....
usually those who I have met and be nice persons they had also nice music and good dj sets, but that not happens always, the talent is talent but is surely is better when the person is a positive and good one,I mean when the artist or the organizer communicates in a good state with others around makes you like more their music production.           ~~~~~~~namaskar~~~~~~~~~

organizers are more important then djs, how you gon have a party without organizer or promoter. no way you can have one. someones got to organize. you can always find a dj , everyones a dj nowdays. i never understood how djs get so big when they spin others tracks. and why do producers sometimes dj thats so stupid, hire a dj ,it should always be live if its your tune. this question so dumb my minds numb

Easy. You, friends with their friends. A couple of tents, a couple of speakers, a generator, DJ-Equipment (Hey, you wanna play at my F-Party for free? Bring your own equipment), blankets, Deco and a smile. No promotion needed, no advertisment. No cash (exept the hire of a generator ect.), just smiles and psy What am I replying to again?
