i believe if the technology was availabel to the people as easy as it is today but not the easiness today provide we still would get some awesome tunes but alot of shitty ones as today.. the only difference between those 2 times would be the easy access to publicity and labels.

I disagree, because the amount of crap music would get filtered a lot more when almost all of the publicity, back then, was through releasing the actual music on the much fewer record labels that actually had pretty high standards of quality control, not all labels, but a lot.
If I could not find a label to release music today, it would be a piece of piss for me to set up my own label and make my music available on quite a few major download sites. I could might as well sidechain a 7 minute long trigger of white noise, to a 160BPM 4/4 kick and select "psytrance" in the genre tab and it would be available for someone to buy it. Hell if I made a "deal" it could even be recommended by the site, or even rock the psytrance charts.
This is a major difference between the two eras and there would not be the same amount of crap music as today, by any means.
