well Ive been following Alex work for some years now and he never let me down. I must say that despite the low quality of Zik is the project I liked the most... this album is defenatelly a treat for every dark lover but it seems to me that the innovation part that used to make me interested in his music in the first place seemed to fade a bit. someone here said that a lot of the tracks sound alike well I tend to agree, and I listened to this album more than a few times (and to his set in the Boom festival). also the tendency to take the BPM limit to the max doesnt do so good for the tracks... I miss Zik!
and a bit of Matutero

I wish u a lot of luck in the future projects and hopefully dark artist will remember that true darkness and evilness doesnt need speed - it needs atmosphere!

I'm with you all the way on that one. Good dark music is built around atmosphere first and foremost. Dark psytrance can only truly work if there's an atmosphere to back it up, otherwise the music tends to sound empty really fast. That said, some of the tracks on this one are pretty good, but as I've said before he uses almost the same bassline in every track, which truly doesn't work on an album of over 70 minutes in length.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

I think the atmospheres are fine. Its just that bassline and some leads which takes up 85% of the monotony.

Hobyah was a fair release as per the efforts alex has taken to reach to where he is today.

But Matutero is his best sounds IMO, hope a full album of Matutero is in the making
