I didn't read through this whole thread but I hope someone mentioned "Martyrs."
It's a French movie, a "true" horror film, on a completely different level than the usual films that pass themselves off as horror nowadays.
It's pretty brutal and gory, but there is a reason behind it, and the reason will keep you thinking about the film long after it ends. |

The Orphanage was great, one of my favorite horror movies. Relies way more on creepiness and atmosphere rather than cheap scares or gore. One of the only movies that has made me jump in the same place the second time I watched it!
Audition is pretty good...it was a little bit too hyped up for me though, I was kind of let down by it. Decent though. |

Paranormal activity is fucking awsome... I know it's hyped and all, but it's nice to finally see a horror flic that is original... Alot of good acting and some really nice low-budget fx that actually works perfect...

I'm so torn on whether or not to pay the money to go see this...half the people I talk to say it's awesome, the other half say it's not scary at all and incredibly disappointing... |

So I got a chance to watch Paranormal Activity and saw both endings, the theatrical ending (which was a rewrite by Stephen Spielberg) and the original ending. Both endings were kind of a letdown but I thought the movie overall was pretty damn creepy. Definitely recommend it. It's not very often that a movie feels genuinely "scary" to me, and this one definitely kept me on edge. |

Just finished watching paranormal activity, Had a mixed feeling, although i thought it was a nice job done with only a house to shoot in, reminded me of how these low budget movies make millions sometimes the last one was REC and Blair witch project before some parts of the movie were really not that scary and ofcourse one can be a lot critical about the plot of the movie..but it was good fun.
But I think the last 20 minutes of the movie was creepy part especially the leg dragging part and that posture she manages to sit along the bed for 1 whole day after stabbing micah.
Worth the watch though.

The film remarkably, very much was pleasant, it would be desirable to look once again. |
