after i watched some japanese movies, i stopped watching horror movies at all. it's unbeleivable what those guys do and really scary. Sometimes i forget it's just a movie...
So no more horror movies for me...

Bless you son,horror movies rule.
in fact if u are serious about your horror,i seriously recommend a subscription to FANGORIA,a real killer horror movie magazine that is blasting since 1979. Really sweet to get a copy in the mail each month,and only for a yearly 63$ !

Hmmmz,if thats your recommendation then i recommend your head being chopped off
Big studio movies,such as this hilary swank stinker,are often lame and suck balls.

as mentioned,the Rob zombie flicks are as hardcore as they come and highly recommended.
House of 1000 corpses and The devils rejects are milestones in modern horror!
i have lesser hopes for his Halloween remake,but will have to check it nontheless...

A few All-time classics imho:

THE THING

NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST.1

THE FLY

RE-ANIMATOR

HELLRAISER 1 and 2

DAY OF THE DEAD

BRAIN DEAD(from lord of the rings director peter jackson,his early works are pure gory fun)

agree on all said about zombie...I think he is getting a bit commercial slowly!so damn sad, I really loved his first 2
but we'll see hows halloween...first snippets I saw looked not that bad, u need to remember its still halloween and he cant do his thoughts as much as if it would be 100% by him

but I need to say also The Hills Have Eyes...was great in the cinema

The Exorcist (1973)
The Omen (1976)
Psycho (1960)
          Studies indicate that listening to music is good for digestion.

Nice ones Yoni!

The Thing [I got my nick (It) cause of that movie. Friends used to say I have clown feet] LOL;

The Fly - classic Cronenberg one. Just as Videodrome;

Hellraiser - rocks indeed;

Halloween - always liked Michale Myers;

Psycho (Hitchock's of course);

The Shinning (Kubrick's).
