I severely disliked that movie.
I recently picked up a movie called "Bug" from a budget bin, the cover used the same visual style as the Saw movies (happens more these days) and I wasn't expecting anything good... It proved to be quite a nice movie. The whole thing is... Nothing like most movies and fueled by paranoia.
Other thing I've enjoyed recently:
Dog Soldiers - Lot's of funny moments because of the english humor
The Bunker - Nazi bunker networks in an area where many were buried during the bubonic plague? hmm! Takes place during WWII. Paranoia among the soldiers is pretty important in this one. |

boy oh boy, that film ^ seems to have everything in it huh? slimy slugs, ghastly necktweakers, scary kid and even a hooded knife-guy . Looks... micheal bay.. sick.
Just re-seen the Shining. . . suspense- extraordinaire. wow.
some others, in no particular order.
carrie (1976)
dawn of the dead (1987)
halloween (most 'o them..but i'm a fan)
braindead (1992)
last house on the left (1972)
the texas chainsaw massacre (1974)
cube (1997)
the arkoff film library
but these are all must-sees so i'm probably just offending some people ..
Dr. Sam Loomis: " I prayed that he would burn in hell. But in my heart, I knew that hell would not have him. " Halloween 5

The Haunting in Connecticut :
