						Yes indeed.
 Michael Myers. Huge kitchen knife.
People always running away from him and he's always walking.

And guess what?? He's always faster than the victims.

						so here it goes

yes its michael myers with the kitchen knife, just a remake made by rob zombie

so after watching the movie in the cinema yesterday, I got pretty splitted feelings about it...
the movie starts off with a 30min-like prestory of michaels childhood and the rest is about him being in prison and breaking out then...

mainly there are 3 things that I didnt like much about it:

 1. there are some camera-movements that are pretty amateurish...there are 2 categories of them, either it makes the movie look really cheap, like a B-movie made by teens or so fast movements that you could just see a pixel massacre for a few secs (at least in cinema)

 2. almost all actors that took part in 1000corpses and tdr are also participating in this one, but as totally different characters what makes it kind of a strange feeling (at least seeing it for the first time imo)

 3. somehow I really missed that typical feeling of zombies first movies a lot...they got this psycho but funny feel imo what makes them to a great trip, what this one doesnt...

bad thing is that I dont really remember the old halloween parts, so I cant really compare to them...but imo this one gets max 5-6/10 since I really expected a bit more

but lets see, maybe its just the thing cause it was a remake...I really hope zombie will do an own movie again soon

All the mentioned movies are indeed references but please, anyone worth their weight in popcorn knows already plenty about these movies.

I would like to hear more about lesser known but very good productions, which may not be as good as the "godfathers" of horror movies but are great nonetheless.

 I'll start. Recently I enjoyed

"The Hills have Eyes" (The original is great too)
"Dead Silence" (great ambience although not as well executed as Saw)
"The Exorcism of Emily Rose" (she is so much better than Linda Blair IMO) |

Has anyone heard of "Fangoria Blood Drive"?
It's a collection of various short horror films.

One of the clips is called "A Man and his finger. It's about a guy who accidently chops off his finger and the finger turns out to be alive, so he keeps it in a cage and feeds it as if it were an animal. The finger seems lonely, so he chops up another finger and mates them.

It's one of the weirdest clips I've ever seen.

 Check it out:

I used to worship Chucky until I saw "Bride Of Chucky" and "Seed Of Chucky".
 Specially the second one.

The Shining is probably the scariest movie of all time,Jack Nicholson is just spooky and the same goes for those two little kids appearing in the middle of the film.

Psycho is a close second i guess.

Todays horror movies rely more on images rather on atmosphere and acting so i dont even bother watching them.
