Thats the thing with hi tech its a love and hate relationship ....

When you listen to good hitech artists at a good festival with some good lsd you start loving it.

If your just sober/drunk and blasting with friends on smaller driver speakers which cant produce lowest bass notes with impact or the artist isnt great you start disconnecting with it.

if i were the artist whose job quality depends only on this small little piece of illusion, i would go quit my job and find another one that at least brings more money:d

I think the reason Hitech is better at parties and festivals is more the soundsystem than the drugs.

Psy in general but especially hitech needs big powerful drivers to make it sound impressive; it's a very frequency dense, power hungry production style, and it can sound decidedly unimpressive on small systems.
