mate check but i think the X have the reverb fx too it s just lacking the chanel strip but i m not sure...
sound quality is the same on both mr816. i was talking about the rme ff800, the preamps and convertisseur are supposed to sound better on the steinberg.
fore firewire you might need to check the computer firewire chipset (texas instrument, agere...)and then check on the net if it don t have any issue with the mr816 and rme (or email steinberg support to know if it will work or what they recomend) |

you are right, the csx version only have this comp/eq morphing funktion lol, both have live reverb!

just for information, i will need a texas instruments firewire chipset, there are much problems with other chipsets...
i wanted to order a finished dell, but they do not have the TI-chipset...
im not sure where to buy the computer now.

maybe you could buy it and add a firwire card with ti chipset to it ? it s not expensive , dunno if it s possible when you buy a "100 % ready computer" |

sure its possible, but its to much hassle, and even then i cant be sure...
it should be no problem to buy an i7 with TI-chipset for about 1100€.

yep mate check if it work with firewire it s tricky...even some rme had lot of problems that maybe are fixed now, it s a bit about luck.. for some it work with no issue for some not lol. check the motherboard you want to buy and ask steinberg suport maybe, dunno these day but in the past gigabyte were good for audio from what i have read on the net |
