Do you think that there are some artists that create music only from the brain? I mean, not heart no emotions just create cause they can.

IMO
The best example is Yoni Salach:
PSYDROP = HEART
HYPERSONIC = BRAIN

I think anyone who is driven to create music has to feel something of it in their hearts. Even those that write purely with a mind to maing money will bring something of their soul to a piece - it's inevitable. You're happy one day, your sounds will be different than if you're recording after a shit day.

On the flip side, no producer is all heart. There also has to be method and practical application of the spiritual, emotional or intellectual concept they are trying to convey. Even if you're a novice banging a drum and nothing more, you have to lift your hand and smack it down on the skin in a certain place, which requires thinking.

Also, as has been said many, many a time, when you listen to somebody's work, you're bringing your own background, feelings, mentality to the musical table and any opinion or response you have to a track will always be somewhat coloured by that.

In other words, there will plenty on here that will feel Psydrop are all brain and Hypersonic from the heart.

Personal taste mate. That's my opinion 3;~

i think that is very dificult not to mix those 2 when makin anything creative in your life. some people might use more the brain other more the heart, but the ending result i believe will always be a mixture of both

well imo both are involved

which has a greater influence on the final outcome will depend upon the individual's passion for his work........

whether it is for love or for $$$$$

bOm           At the end there is a DOOR & waiting for you on the other side of that door is either HEAVEN or HELL

I definitely believe it is a combination of both... Some may feel indeed that there are artists that use a little bit more of one than the other, but it really depends what mood the person was in when writing...

I think that both the brain and the heart affect each other in a symbiotic fashion, what happens to one will happen to the other.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

I write music when Im really horny!

Well If you asked me I think the ones who write with thier heart use thier brains. You may ask the question does an artist take time writing music or do they try and finish a track quickly. Now some people can write rather quickly and make it really good but I imagine this type of artist to be someone who know his or her tools really well. knowing your tools=get it done faster. If your naturally gifted at making music the time it takes to make it will not matter? And doesnt Time = Art?           http://soundcloud.com/djkiva

imo the heart get big function just when its coming to the melodiousness, all the rest in the production need to be completely from the brain.(especially when we talking about dark and twisted music).

in the end most of time that's combination of both.

Sometimes I write music when I am a little miffed (usually after going here) and I find it's an excellent release for my emotions to transfer it to music... When it comes to making wierd noises, that is definitely the brain... but usually the energy comes from the heart. At least for me that's what happens.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
