Hi Triplex,

you are being unfair now...remember generalisations are bad and very inaccurate!

I don't know about the other Greek labels but we do not owe money to artists..you can ask around if you want...maybe you and NK should be more specific when talking about the Greek labels you have in mind...

taking into account the intersection of the sets of the greek labels that cybertronic and triplex have released tracks through, one can easily figure out the one and only 'record label' that the post was refering to.

excuse me for the generalization, it was just another fast post

I have to say that greek labels dont have so good rumour and thats bad for the greek trance. I hope Thessaloniki in the north gonna have better rumour in the future to show the people that there is nice guys in greece.
But i have to say that there are bad labels out in rest of europe to, that do bad things...

Keep it real guys!!!!

- Hi NK, all is cool- John sends you candy greetings too !!!

- Triplex, no worries...I know it was a fast reply but I had to mention it so that people reading the post would not make false judgements...

- By "rumour" you probably mean "reputation" my friend, Jason...You are probably right although as you mention this is a common phenomenon outside Greece too...it is quite difficult to find labels that are managed by both professional and honest people

I have heard many TRUE stories of Greek artists that have been fully exploited by other Greek labels...they probably forget that :

"whats goes around, comes around"

I have spoken on behalf of Candyflip, the other Greek label people who are members of this forum can speak for themselves if they have something to say...add or answer back...??...

peace

I too will have to add my negative opinion on Greek labels to this thread.

I have heard of too many rip-offs and from my experience most of these people are not professionals.

I agree with Triplex's words almost 100% but before I get flamed I want to point out that certainly NOT ALL Greek labels are that way.
Some of these people are working hard and
are trying to get quality music to be heard.

In my opinion the scene is not what it used to be and everyone must try their best to make it better. From artists to labels to distributors to party organisers.

There is no room for cheaters.

Wow, I’m really glad that this thread got expands to another dimension more sirius. OK, vinyl’s are a sirius matter for me(as a dj i am) that’s why i mention it and I’m glad I got some response to that.

Nectarios: that’s the reason i like vinyl’s too, you get some tracks of the albums and some from12’’ that doesn’t get released in cd’s.

Detox: here is Europe, cd’s and vinyl’s cost about the same in Greece and in Uk.
Also since you mention that you are not a dj YET, then we just have to wait for you to start djing and change opinion for that. So don’t be so solid, yet.

NK: glad you mention this. This is something more sirius than vinyl’s and it’s very easy to figure about who you talking. I want to see some answers too about this attitude.

Alex: It’s true that when you can’t print vinyl’s in Greece things getting tough and expensive. Also what NK and Triplex said has nothing to do with Candyflip, i think your label is maybe the most pro one in Greece and hope you keep it that way. All the best!!

Jason: Maybe you want to be more specific about which label wins the bad “reputations” award abroad. I have a clue and if I’m not mistaken then probably disserves it cause you can act counting only in your own interests. You never work alone anyway and a label always count’s on others (artis’s, dj’s, promoter’s, distributors etc. so you don’t f*** them!)

Triplex: haha…I like the way you mention this here. Don’t see much generalization in it, it’s quit obvious right after Nk’s post!!!

To close up I just wanna say that it’s time for the labels themselves to speak. They are fully represented here…

Cheers to everybody

Kiou i cannot aggree with you that cd's and vinyls cost the same both in Uk and Greece.

From my knowledge a cd in UK doesnt cost 22 euros, usually it is less.

I guess the same things occur with vinyls also.

Please correct me if i am wrong

P.S We are not speaking for internet shops but for traditional music stores otherwise you can get cd's from UK for the price of 12-13 euros and i know that cause i buy music from one of those places           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Yes but the topic of this thread is focused on the music side of the Greek labels. So we are kind offtopic here.

By the way i find it very irritating when people try to hide behind their finger and dont get straight to the point. So whoever has something to say you better open a new thread and be more specific           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

For the rest of the forum that are not Greeks we must all be more specific in my opinion.

And if i had to answer on something be sure that i would have already done it           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

This is really nice topic,indeed.......

well mr candy i know what you want to mention but i must remind you something:

How an artist which is not fully registered under the goverments terms can get 6000 euro for an album?

how this label will be able to show each year that the label spent this amount on advance without invoice.

i have to tell that when i released with johnny sin and micky the album on diskobole they kept us from the whole amount we had to get the 25 % for taxes(ask micky and john).

also i wanna clear something out cause there are rumours rumours:
I had a deal with wizzy noise for 1500000 for their first album, they got after the release date(6 months) totally 1200000 all money went to Micky account on Pireaus bank and some of them on Uriel bank account(Alpha Bank),I can get all receipts if you want once a day,it is easy,i kept from from them the normal % that i was adviced by my book assistant when we stop cooperating.I made all the transfers to the personal account so easily can detect them.

Now if the bands between are not that honest and cheat each other this is other problem.
