a question of semantics....
it seems to me that most people involved with the psytrance scene would define "glitch" primarily as extreme edits [in paticular, master buss FX and/or edits to similar effect] giving the hiccuping "start stop" that "breaks" the steady trance -- especially the sounds characteristic of certain plugins.
Every psy producer has dblueglitch, but the content they process thru that plugin (among others) generally seems to be typical psytrance fare... master buss, kick drum, FM farts, etc...
it does not seem to me that many psytrance producers that use/abuse this technique actually make use of an artistic process that I would define as "glitch"....
i would again point out a distinction bewtween:
a.) the process and preparation of audio using "glitch" techniques and/or aesthetic.
b.) hiccuping with cut-up, "glitch" edits every (2^n) bars.
c.) strapping a bunch of plugins across your masterbuss and hitting the buttons every (2^n) bars.
(c) is a specialized case of (b), which is a specialized case of (a), but I definetly would think of (c) or (b) alone as a poor, or at least very limiting, definition of "glitch".

Anything in moderation is good. I heard in a lot of tracks with just the default preset of dblue glitch. Its good but its even better when you get in there and tweak it. It takes time... nothing comes easy. Anyhow, I think this is going a bit offtopic. Lets start a new thread in the equipment music section if we want to discuss this more.

..except the default preset of dblue Glitch...  The first time you hear it doing it's thing it's impossible to resist wanting to put it in the track just like that, it sounds so good.
