Excuse me Junya but i cannot hold this inside me and i am gonna say it with no offence hehehehe this is a perfect example of a fullon producer he thinks it's just entertainment! Typical fullon producers like tricks in there music and technology in fact all we here is stops and drumrolls in todays fullon end result very good quality but boring.
On the other hand we have Darkpsy with a really lame groove and some weird horror movie samples, repetitive sounds, they come up with this telling other people it's killargh increase the BPM to make it more killargh. Using some tripy stuff like maybe some parts of goa used to have that but the ugly part if you know what i mean. some of this stuff is unbearable - end result Killarg!
Then we get proggy which has a good feeling and some of it is psychedelic but again now it's like gone to housey trance or something lots of smae build up same sounds and man when does a melody arrive? again it's not the same not TRance
not all of Goa was good in my opinion but some of it was really special made by people who had great ideas, hearth and soul. Even though i slacked off all the styles of music i am talking in general because in all the styles i still find (very hardly though) tripper friendly music or TRANCE.

The thing is that we need to concentrate on feeling just like the chillout of today it's neither only dark it's both combined to give an experience people will never forget! It's a trip like Trance is supposed to be.

what if, bear with me one instant, someone actually wanted to hear some 160 bpm killargh psy trance ? And enjoyed it more than classic goa-trance? Try playing with this idea for a while.

its funny, music as entertainment, point for that. music as enhancer\guide of shamanistic journeys\drugged-up-mindgames (the view of the majority), point for that.
then what is entertainment?
to define that we have to go through the whole "what is reality?" questionaire, which i bet you all have gone through a dozen times. (the old-timer philosopher-druggies atleast. not these drugmunching-mindfucking-fullonblastingkillarghdancing-kids of today. (yea, we are so much better, ofcourse yes yes in the old days, now THOSE were the TIMES yeees, horray for the goaelitesuperhumansonlylsd&mushrooms-sacreddrugsyesyesofcourseandsomemescalinedonthurtohyea,andsomeofthatdmtmmmmyesverysacredweare)). :\
now, lets say that reality is this. that is, subjective.
entertainment must also be subjective, dont you think? i do. and on your shamanic drugadventures, do you not feel entertained? on your worst badtrip, are you not entertained? i would say yes. (and some would say no, since entertainment tends to manipulate the concept of time so that it is processed faster...or less of it is processed maybe. who knows).
now, i agree with eskimo, music is a form of entertainment. but i also agree with ganjagil, that this music, the psychedelic music, should give a special feeling, not just a boost or a wow, but that funky uncertainity which atleast i, used to get from our beloved goa who art in heaven, hallowed be its name. for i get no "what am i" blasts or "ow, man this is weird" feelings anymore from this music.
i do get a good feeling of energy and pow-pow-pow i could dance all night to this shit (which, in one word (shit) symbolizes the direction of this music (the beauty of being trendy), which is chemicalism, materialism & consumeralism (sorry for my bad english skills)).
good thing we call it psy-trance and not psychedelic-trance then.
psycho-trance anyone? have a mindblast with psycho-trance & ketamine to get your special feeling of peace & unity. now if its love you`re after, drop these three ecstacy`s and you`ll be hugging all night. and lets not forget that beautiful coke to produce the wonder of respect.
maaaan...oh well, nothing is lost nothing is lost nothing is lost god is all god is all god is all.
so what does the music of today lack that goatrance had? i would say spirit. magic. that fifth variable which leaves you with a few more questions than you had when you stepped into the party. and we all know, can`t have four elements with no spirit to govern them. then it all starts to fall apart.
so yea, full on, prog, dark, all of these serve its purpose, it makes it easier to dance, but psychedelic? not in my subjective-humble-whatever-meaning.
