haven't seen the movie so i can not relly tell gms have abused it or not,
however for me that track is one of the best produced by gms-i like it

Ok
a few words about Requiem for a dream:
The cinematography was great. This film was beautiful to watch from a technical standpoint. There were really only one or two things I'd change (Those annoying split-screens!), and I really loved film speed was played with.
The acting was wonderful on all parts
And I want to marry the score.
But I absolutely hated the movie. Why? Because I've never felt so emotionally manipulated in my life.
That is why i don't give a hoot about GMS Abusing this movie. the Kronos Quartet's part, now there's somthing else, but the concept of the track is by no means a bother to me.

no reason for it to bother no one....
they took the melody and used it as is.
not changed.
and thats good.
and about the movie.
emotion manipulation is the whole point of the movie.
you SHOULD be overwelmed by the BAD ending.
i was totaly shoked.
couldnt close my mouth for hours after seeing it.
no other film ever done it for me like this one...
thats why imho its the best i ever saw...

I wasnt overwhelmed, wako, and i wasnt so shocked. it's difficult to explain, but i felt like this movie used my feelings to generate some sympathy to charecteres not deserving such - each got what he deserved for his/hers Vices. as will all of us, eventually. only here, it's a persistance that you must feel affection for a dope fiend who's done NOTHING with his life.
other than that, it's a nice tune, nothing outstanding or groundbreaking, your regular GMS stint...
