"Juice by GMS" In my opinion is a massacre of some of the most beautiful music in film ever. All the emotion of the original music is completly lost in "juice". It's almost comedic and IMO doesnt at all represent what the original artist of the music had in mind. Anyway, not bashing GMS, just this one song they did, big dissapointment.

I saw the movie after i heard the song so it was kind of a nice reminder. But i agree with u dude the song in the movie as it is has a lot of emotion to it, but i dont blame gms the melody kind of sticks to your head anyways!!           Red Team Go... Red Team Go!!!

Ok they abused the original work of the soundtrack but ok its a nice psy track anyway and people like it so i guess nothing wrong about it.
I can even say that these two tracks have nothing to do with each other.
They are so different           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

I have no problem with GMS Abusing Requiem for a Dream, a flick which abuses you and emotionally manipulates you. i HATED that movie.           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. We See Things As We Are" -Ancient Chinese Proverb

Indeed Jason. It´s a pure bad trip movie....

Btw, I liked how GMS used the melody. But of course the emotions are not the same.           LOADING...

first.
they did it GOOD. VERY good.
this is one of their best tracks.
second.
Requiem for a Dream is the BEST movie i ever saw.
ofcourse its a bad trip.
thats the whole point.
its ment to be like that.
its ment to abuse your soul.
its ment to abuse your mind.
it shows you the bad things can happen when u r not carfull with drugs.
and its made very very very good.
its a HORRIBLE movie.
and that exactly is the point.
all heros of the movie turned out "winners".
so be carfull...
you can be a "winner" too...
"i say we got a winner !"
"we got a winner !"

Well, this doesn't come a surprise to me at all. GMS remixes generally take away emotion and make stuff dancefloor friendly. Reload is a great example. I think that their remix to The Finger is a much greater sin than this one. They took a magical uplifting track and made another "battle" stomper.

That's what GMS do. I personally wasn't disappointed by Juice, I expected nothing else from this act (abusing a gimmic is something they've been known to do as well).           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

thats what they do.
and do it good.
they can make anything into a dancefloor killer.
they have a gift.

i dont normally like too much gms but i dont think they slaughtered the original track
they were working with a beautiful melody and i think its hard to wreck a great melody no matter what you do to it
the use of the samples from the movie were great too

imo the movie rocked- shows 'addictions' as they arent usually shown on tv/films
couldnt work out if it was speed or smack they were using though           ¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø, Gi'iwa//MuddyPigsº¤ø,¸¸,ø¤ºº

Didn't see the movie, but the GMS' track is one of their finest.
The ppl who dislike GMS will dislike them no matter what melody they sample. Whether they sample "Requiem for a dream" melody or a "Pacman" one.
And BTW i don't consider neither melody cheesy (Pacman melody was sampled Aphex Twin), but that's irrelevant.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me
