hey if you like it or not, lots of people heard Eyal Barkan's music first because it was played everywhere. After that they looked for more Trance music and they found stuff like Infected Mushroom, Hallucinogen and X-Dream.
Thats how it went for me at least.
The trance scene has exploded the past 2-3 years. There are many reasons for this, but Eyal Barkan is one of them.           Both teams played hard

listen this is gone out of hand,
respect for the man for "makin it big",
and about Domestic & Pixel's compilation,
well i know almost every track there,
and let me tell u,"Dardasim 2 " it ain't....

with tracks like Domestic's SIMULATED and Cosma's KEEP YOUR MIND,it should be a really good surprise release from this label.           http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ace-Ventura/6139679270

Nitzchonot was success for spreading trance everywhere ...?

But Trance in 1997-8 was very known and popular at least in Europe... ! and if some people didnt know propably they were too young to care or too busy to care..

Nitchonot was success for makin fast money , bad music , fame , E's and overall giving to trance a very different definition ... IMO a bad one...

Artists-labels who promoted this madness took advantage of the pure trance scene those days they didnt care for anything or anybody , just for their own ass... and ... in several months this disease was all over the southern europe ... and then the rest of the world..

And there we have the big BOOM of E's and suddenly everybody became "trance addicted"

People discovered trance... yeaaah...
Eyal Barkan is sure is a reason for exploding the trance scene...
Anyway , nitzchonot fashion didnt last for long time after all it was a pure madness...

So Nitchonot is ... Goa trance? PsyTrance?TechnoTrance?trance? It is E-Music

Thats very sad but very true at the same time ....

aaargh... the end....

I really hated this genre, i feel offended up to day by ppl when i tell them i love psy trance and they tell me: ahh arsim music how can you hear this crap like Eyal Barkan and stuff?
And i have a 14 year old neighbour who comes to me from time to time to ask me for some "Trance" mp3's or cd's and when i'm offering him GMS or Space Cat he tells me it's no trance. Trance for him is Eyal Barkan and Holymen.

But you can't ignore that there are some great artists who rise from "Nitzchonot" scene to well respected psy scene.
I will try to name a few:
Erez I {From Shidapu to Infected Mushroom}
Amit Duvdevani
Ido Ophir {From Shidapu to Domestic}
Miki Litvak {From Shidapu to Domestic}
Astrix
I heard that Dj Hercules from ZMA was into Nitzchonot some time but i am not sure.
There are much more but i don't really remember.

And by the way the Arsim grew up they listen now to Real psy trance! I have some Arsim friends {sorry guys i live in Ramle} and they listen to Full-on and even some of them enjoy X-dream and Delta! But it's little

...well i heard their new act Axis and there sure are some nice progressive tunes on their first album, so why not give gmi the benefit of the doubt and wait for their upcoming releaes and then judge the music itself not the label...wait and hear;)

OK. again I'm going to publish here something that I wrote for IL-Trance back in 98. and I belive it's still relevant. actualy time shows that i was right.

Bom Y'all
Well I do think this subject has to be brought up

>i got to watch quite a bit of channel 6 (arutz hayeladim),and I was
>shocked to see that the show today is themed about electronic
>music.Eyal Barkan and some other guy were there, played that stupid
>dardasim track you are all talking about, Yael bar zohar and Dana
>Dvorin jumped and danced with a large group of kids, and then the
>obligatory chat with the DJ.
>Now, if I may express my humble opinion - I don't like barkan's
>music, but I do think that the fact that you can now hear trance in
>every grossery store, is only because of him. And this does not has
>to be bad...
>Yep...
>Harel
Well as most of us on this list know Eyal barkan is targeting himself at a slightly different audience then most that includes mostly people who need extra punchy bass and super simple melodies with alot of uppers (aliot) and not to much psychedelic stuff (what we call stupid music) ,these people are either newcomers to trance that progress afterwards to more Inteligent stuff or just stupid people, you can find artists like him in every genere and they have their importance in popularising the style and yes I know we don't really want to be popular we like the underground but think about the next senario a huge four day trance festival somwhere outdoors, 40000 ppl attending, preforming on stage are X-dream, Total eclipse, Etnica/Pleadians/Crop circles, Astral projection, MFG, Mark Allen, Tsuyoshi,and whoever else you can think of. the police is not only aproving of the festival but is providing security against unwanted and violent elements the ministry of tourism is sponsoring the event and publicising it outside of israel, etc...
This all can happen if trance will be a popular or at least acceptable musical style like rock and dance. and eyal barkan is doing just that for our cause and BTW he was chosen in No 52 of the most influential ppl of Tel Aviv newspaper and has recieved a golden record for the sale of more than 20000 copies of Good Morning Israel not including the pirate copies being sold at the tachana merkazit in TA.
and I'm not even talking about all the parties that Mr barkan is DJing and that we know not to go to but that take all the Arsim and let us party queietly with our own croud (even though 5% arsim at a nice "beautifull" party is quite an amusing thing).
so altogether even if we don't like his music his actions are really commemorable
so all hats off to Mr Barkan.

You are very wrong man ! But you speak the truth at the same time! Yeaaah so trance is popular right now man , and its gonna be bigger .... but big is not always what matters . Ifound more interesting and fun being in a small party somewhere in a secret place in planet earth and listening only one group (X-dream for example) than being in a huge place with thousands of people and hundreds of groups performing live... if one day trance become popular as rock music then propably it wont be that kind of music that people listen right now...Nitchonot is a bad joke of psytrance that some people invented it in order to make good business and promote themselves and their friends. If some people discover trance because of nitchonot it is because these music was promoted everywhere not because was good! And remember nitchonot was famous in southern-eastern countries like Greece-Israel and not in the north . I can imagine why only there.. but these is a different story, a cultural one...
