last time I posted a topic here, it turned into the AUM. ( Reference: Team USA: Fuck Yeah
So summer is here(early).....and lets seeeeeeee here....yep..... the USA is the place to be
Gain Mind is going apeshit this year.
Gemini will be beaaaauttiful.
A.U.M.....well...I don't know if it's an acronym...but the name pretty much says it all.
East Coast, Gulf Coast, West Coast, Midwest, Rockie Mountains, Northeast......all humming along QUITE nicely.
The seeds have been planted.....now lest we not forget, these seedlings have been hedged before, even if they were just, in comparison, weeds to our trees. We must remember and love the place we live, and by this I mean we must work with the ideas we are trying to replace, not against them. Live your life as a dialectic, and you'll hopefully never fall on the wrong side of any fence.
Creativity is what this country was built on, and creativity is what we seek to inspire. Many of us who do not agree with free, deregulated markets, still live and operate in one daily. On the contrary, I believe the key to our species longetivity shall be found A. in creativity and B. In a free, competitive marketplace of IDEAS....
We remember that the internet was a theory drawn from the LSD hyperspace....and so does our government.... Creativity will never be outlawed, but drugs that inspire creativity will remain so because, in the end, it's just more profitable here.... it's a sad, sad truth
What I'm really here to discuss though, is the fact that we have left the petty confines of aided experience, and on this cusp in our evolution, stand closer and closer and even closer still to a planetary consciousness, dissolving the very meager boundary between individuals now, which we all see evaporating away every day as the whole world tilts it's head solid kick drum of the internet.
And America's people are, once again, I believe, on the leading edge of this evolution, and I do not believe this is an accident. I think America, really is, and might always be #1
It is based on this principle and that I very seriously jokingly suggest a ban of exports of ALL full-on psy-trance into china....for our country's sake.

Because when I think of intelligent communities expressing their creativity in an open-minded environment, I think of myspace and craigslist.
We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home. |

I like the energy and the good vibes that the original post has. This is exactly what people need to hear to keep the psy train chuggin along.

Frankly, I dont want to be number one for psy in the world.... I would HATE to be another face in a sea of 10,000 at every party.
A very large part of this scene is being able to go to an event and not just recognize faces, but KNOW over half of the people there.
Dont get me wrong, optimism is ALWAYS welcome - but lofty goals that, if accomplished, would change our scene arent.
I am extremely excited however, about festivals like AUM and Gemini, that are uniting the various scenes across the United States.... we are in this together, under the same oppression - the more dancing legs we have to stand on, the better. |

I agree 100%. The more dancing legs that we KNOW and have to stand on, the better

Also, side note... I think there should be another party similar in size to Gemini and AUM but instead of annually... it could be quarterly and themed after the four elements.... yes yes this is supreme wishful thinking, but wouldnt it be peachy?

hmm, i'm thinking less and less about number 1 and more and more about cultivating UNITY beginning at a local level and expanding way beyond these arbitrary boundaries that have been imposed on us.
It really is time for a new strategy, don't ya think?

don't get me wrong..... I'm no #1 anything, and I think those who think they are need a reality check....so many angles, so little brain power often times..... or maybe its the other way around
I was merely referencing the fact that the America's are becoming a good place to trance dance, and the subtle social evolutions that have gone along with that shift
you don't have to pat yourselves on the back and praise Bush..... just trying to cultivate a little hoorah for a TRULY good country, oft shat upon in the international community in many UNDESERVED as well as rational ways...
