Tutorial-wise, electronic music is electronic music - I fail to see the genre-sation helping make this or that types of music...           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Really ok so we can change the name of this forum and call it isra hihop or house. If its the same we can just build a drum'n bass track with a psytrance bass in a it will work just the same and why not throw a hihop arrangement and it will work just the same.

Coming from one of the isratrance team guy I think I got it. No wonder there are no longer interesting post in here. I'm in the wrong place.

Seppa,
I'm just expressing my opinion here... Don't take it as the final solution...

The forum is a good place for all of us to meet and talk about music creation. I'm sorry if you don't find anything interesting... There are no magazine editors around.          Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

I think nobody outside psytrance actually takes psytrance serious. Its seen as a scene primarily used for using drugs and a show off for freaky wanna be hippies with bells on their feet, an "ohm" sign on every corner of their clothes and an ever wann be "I'm one with the world" attitude while throwing trash on the floor and being totally stoned.

Laugh Now But One Day I'll be In Charge!

Seriously, I am pretty satisfied with those bathroom readings, when I need some more specific I browse the net (or I lurk here).

+1 sad truth
and the saddest of all is the "attitude" you mention about everything is beautiful and one, words of air like "respect nature" etc and finally totally wasted and fill the place with garbage and ego, theres no community, no partnership and no true care as expected/supposed to be maybe (?)
its the biggest shit, cause this music stands for such values but acts also nice when youre tripping hard unfortunately and much ppl are in love with that tune

Yeah, I totally agree with that, I went to the Boom festival this summer, and man, it was like two worlds clashing, and in a bad way...

It reminded me of communism, great ideas, but way too much utopic for mere humans...

Good thing the music doesn't have anything to do with it though

To be honest, I'd totally love to write for these guys... abstract sound design is one of the things that is prevolent in this type of music and some of these techniques are popping up in a large amount of music outside of psychedelic trance. To be able to discuss divergent techniques on making sounds would be kinda cool.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

There was a big article about psytrance in DJ Mag last year. It's very commercial orientated but it's really psytrance and not Armin Van Burren and PVD.

oh my god! did you read that article and the talk about dali as being one of the big players in psytrance? "taking psytrance to a higher level"??? "Tracks like ‘Colours Band’ demonstrate her vocal talents.."
????

They mention dali on the same page with hallucinogen? Hallucinogen practically invented everything used in modern pystrance.
But its good to see dalis nipples on the picture...

Holy shit.. this writer has NO idea.

After reading that I prefer nobody EVER writes about psytrance again ever ever!!!
